I was between the RVCA Weekend and these, but the RVCA fit quite a bit above the knee and felt tighter through the upper thigh than these. They have a more mature look than the normal Frickin Chino. My thighs aren't that big, but the slim leg opening does not always slide freely back into position. Overall these are a polished short with good surfer style but some sacrifice of comfort due to the slim fit.
