I like the rope/espadrille-style edging. A bit pricey, but I needed a cute sneaker (at age 61, love Vionic for the support!) to wear with skirts/skorts on my feet at work and walking a lot at a Florida condo property and am happy with this shoe. Received compliments first time wearing it. Removable insert offers excellent arch support.

I did not put these on. I bought 8 Wide; but it was clear taking them out of the box they would be far too narrow for my feet. They are designed on a long, narrow, flat last, just like all the other dress sneakers on the market, even those that attempt to provide counter-support from within, by throwing in an insole. Birkenstocks sneakers are perpetually sold out in common womens' sizes (I wonder why) so I've never been able to try those.

Purchased for a trip to Italy. We walked about 10,000 steps a day. After the first day - moving through airports and a stop over in Amsterdam the shoes were very creased and my feet hurt. I had to switch shoes. About a week in, the leather is pulling away in two places on the left shoe. I would not recommend these shoes if you plan to do significant walking. Will be dumping these at the end of vacation. Frankly, I had to switched shoes three days in hopes my feet wouldn't hurt so much. Looks pretty, not intended for actual vacation walking.
