My new favorite runners. For the last several years I’ve alternated between Altras for the wide toebox and Hokas for the cushioning, but neither were perfect. These are the perfect combo of those two things for an all around great shoe. I actually may have to get myself another pair as I have found myself wearing these as just my walk around shoes as well as runners. Zero foot fatigue for me. A couple of caveats though - they’re heavy, enough so that I definitely noticed the difference on my first run in them. I quickly got used to it and no longer notice a heavy feel, but not sure about longer runs in them (all my runs in them have been 5 miles or less). Next, while they’re great for my wide foot and high arch I can see that they might be too much of a good thing for people with narrow and flat feet. I’ll definitely be getting more Topos in the future.
