In the color of the leather (solid brown) and the color and construction of the sole, these are the closest thing to my first Sperry Topsiders from 30 years ago. There is one caveat: be aware that they do not lace. Instead they have an elastic strap under the tongue at the instep, so they are slip ons. It matters little because once your Topsiders break in and mold to your foot I think most people never untie the laces anyway. They become essentially slip ons. I have a high arch and a high instep and they work for me. I recommend them.

It has been approximately 40 years since I had my last pair of Sperry double soles. I am so glad they are back. I believe they might be better made now which is a pleasant but not unexpected surprise.

All was exactly as presented on the Zappos website, and the double thickness soles really help when walking on rocky surfaces or gravel surfaces.

Great shoes, I now own three pair, bought the first last month liked them so much purchased the other two. Great leather, nice fit and love the look. Can dress them up or down e.g. shorts vs biz casual slacks.
