This is one of the first times I have found a pair of clogs/mules available in a narrow width! Very exciting, since those with narrow feet tend to walk right out of traditional clogs or mule-style shoes. Birkenstocks, UGGs, and even Crocs are impossible for those with narrow feet. I will keep an eye on Softwalk shoes in the future because of their inclusivity of narrow-width shoes. The Softwalk Fairbanks mules were very comfortable, the in-sole was cushion-y, the (narrow) width was perfect, the length/size was right and I was happy with the genuine leather upper. The problem is, that the polyurethane platform sole + heel are a light faux wood-grain color, which is just not cute. The faux wood-grain makes the mules look cheap and low-quality (and they are not cheap or low-quality). WHY Softwalk didn't make these with a black polyurethane platform sole + heel, I will never know. They would have been Perfect IF THEY HAD A BLACK SOLE + HEEL. The sling-back feature was not that attractive, either but added security + sure-footness when walking (no chance of walking out of your clogs with the sling-back). The mules are available as a simple mule (without the sling-back) - and are also available in a narrow width - so I may buy those. I liked the fit and comfort so much that I considered having the soles + heel stained black (by a shoe cobbler) but I thought that stain or dye may peel or wear off so I opted to return them, regrettably. I wish Softwalk would make the slingback and simple clog versions of the shoes with solid black soles + heels (at the least, the ones with the black leather uppers). Softwalk - please reconsider the faux wood-grain for the black versions of the Fairbanks (and the non-slingback clog) - BLACK soles + heels are a necessity!

Not comfortable and not wide enough. Felt weird when walking.

Not only were they not wide enough, they made a weird squish noise every time I took a step. Will be returning.
