If you are srsly considering these boots, they likely need no introduction. I've owned the Ribelle HD since early 2020, and have put a few routes, a few miles, and 3 Chugach sheep seasons under them. Coming from hard boots, they are a revelation. They are outstanding on rock, hold semi-rigid [C2] crampons well, are wider in the forefoot than other Italian offerings in this class, they walk much more like a hiking boot than an alpine boot, but you can reef down the outstanding lacing system and lock in the foot to a stiff stole to keep going up long after the trail ends. They are also skookum enough to last hundreds of miles on and off-trail here in the wet brushy slate mountains of Southcentral Alaska, which is not at all easy for a boot. Moreover, I'm still reasonably intact and confident the boots will still keep my feet dry next spring when meltwater turns my approach trails to 3" deep freestone creeks. That 2.6mm Perwanger leather is no joke.... ...PROTIPS: Don't be afraid to size up if your climbing hunting backpacking bushwhacking includes a lot of horizontal miles. This boot is sized to offer a precise technical fit for summer alpine climbing on all but vertical ice, like for a guide who lives at the base of the mountain and straps on crampons every day, yet sleeps in a bed every night with his feet elevated... The sole of my size 45 [11.5] Ribelle HD is a good bit smaller than the bottom of both my 10.5 Danner work boots and my 10.5 Altra trail runners, yet all are good fits and the Ribelle still locks my normal heels securely, and I can tighten them down like a ski boot when I need to pack a stupid load down a ridiculous incline.

tldr: Steezy boot is everything Scarpa says it is - light fast durable capable of Matterhorn Aconcagua Kilimanjaro and all the famous via ferratas of Europe - and sometimes you can catch it on super sale here at Zappos. Size up for life. :)
