I can't decide if they're dorky looking (bad) or funky looking (good), but they're very comfortable. I have a large bunion on one foot so I bought my usual length (8.5) but W width, something I've never done before. Because they tie, I can tighten up the shoe on my normal foot a little more, so both fit fine. They're very soft and light. I love SAS shoes and have three pairs of their sandals, which have lasted forever and still look like new, but am a bit disappointed in the feeble arch support in this particular style. I have high arches and I might need to take out the insoles, which are removable, and replace them with something more substantial. I spent over two hours trying on shoes in two stores stores today with no luck, and finally drove a half-hour to the closest SAS store, and these were the most comfortable pair I tried on. Now that I know that I need the wide width in SAS non-sandal styles, I can order future pairs here on zappos.

I love this shoe. I have bunions and foot pain and can't wear anything right or most heels. I can wear these all day on my feet. True to size and width.

My mother and all her ancient friends all wore SAS shoes and I swore I would never never be caught dead in them. But these are the most comfortable shoes I have had in many years. They're easy to get on and off and extremely light weight and flexible. You were right again, mom.

My 90 yr old mother only wears SAS shoes. Had her last pairs for over 30 yrs. She needed new, stylish and comfortable shoes. These look great and not orthopedic.

I wear a 12 narrow, fit great. SAS are the most comfortable shoes of all that I own. I have a small bunion on the left, ties make it convenient. They may not be the most trendy shoe, but I’m more into comfort. They are a nice pair of black shoes. Extremely happy with purchase.
