Overall size and fit was fine. The shoe had a little more cushion than xa pro 3d, can pro v9 and my x-ultra 3. I like firmer shoe, too much cushion, air, or bounce tend to make my knees, legs, and feet hurt much more at the end of the day. The matrix upper was extremely breathable, one shoe I could wear 10+ hours and my feet/socks felt like I had only had a shoe on for 30 minutes. First shoe I’ve had with the matrix but I definitely liked it.

I'm a long time Salomon fan and this is my 2nd Genesis pair. I used these for the gym particular if it's not a heavy weights day...HIIT work and/or treadmill.

I really love running in the high mountains and the more rugged the terrain the better. The Salomon Genesis is one of the best shoes I’ve found for this use. It fits my medium width foot very well with out being sloppy. The outsole material is really grippy and is holding up very well (about 300 miles). The upper material breaths well but is also very supportive. The heel fits great and doesn’t let rocks into the shoe. Love them!
