The tongue of the shoe is sewn to the shoe's body so it is too tight to slip on. You have to untie the shoe to squeeze it on.

I got these shoes for my husband, who works in retail. He was experiencing sore feet due to wearing cheap, worn out sneakers. He loves his Orthofeet shoes and says his foot pain has gone away. They fit great as well.

A great shoe for insecure men because they make your feet look bigger and you'll feel an inch taller, except they also squeak when wet. One way or another people will be looking at you a little different in these. Took both inserts at the same time to make them feel like they were good fit. This resulted in what personally felt like a Tempur-Pedic stuffed into my dads shoes, as these even look too big when you first take them out of the box. The optional arch support was too much for me.

These shoes were very tight around the ankles. They were very generous in the foot fit but there was no way to loosen the fit around the ankles. I'm returning them for that reason
