I love the OOFOS flip flops; I am on my second pair. So I thought I would try these to have something a little warmer for winter, something with which I could wear socks. They have a nice comfortable footbed like the flip flops, but are actually pretty warm in the toes, due to no ventilation. The real problem, though, turned out to be the heel area. I thought they'd be fine, but the lack of any real depth to the heel ended up causing me a real problem. Going downstairs, as I reached the last step, my right heel slid as I put my foot down, the shoe went out from under me and my ankle folded. I had immediate and excruciating pain and thought for sure my ankle was broken. My husband had to take me to the emergency room, as it was in the middle of the night. My ankle had suffered a severe sprain and a small fracture! I ended up on crutches and am now getting physical therapy to strengthen my ankle. This was a very unfortunate pair of shoes for me. At the least, I would like to return them and get my $ back, however, nothing can recover the $2100 + I have to pay in hospital bills plus the orthopedist's fee and the physical therapy costs!

I am a pastry cook and spend all day on my feet. I also have high arches and require shoes with adequate arch support. These clogs meet all my requirements. They are lightweight, springy, and are comfortable with very good arch support. There is no footbed so they are easy to clean - you could actually run them through the dishwasher. The only issue I had with them is that they run small so I had to buy thinner socks (couldn't exchange them as I had pre-ordered it from a local department-type store that had a introductory special. The soles pretty much wore all the way down to no tread after about a year of use even though I'm not one to drag my feet when I walk, but I guess $4.50 per month isn't all that much to pay for a good quality shoe, right? All in all, a relatively inexpensive, very comfortable, and easy to clean shoe good for kitchen or hospital workers.

I was hoping to wear these with a pair of sox if needed in the winter months. I often walk around inside my apartment when it's cold out wearing a pair of socks. If I slip these on to go outside to get the mail or tend to my porch or walk to the mail, I have to remove my socks and wear these barefoot. I've worn them around the grocery store and they are comfortable and with slacks that are long enough, one cannot tell that my heel is bare at least while I'm walking. What happens when wearing socks is that your foot doesn't stay fully inside the shoe and my heel slides right off the back sideways. It is so very frustrating. Inside the shoe barefoot, it feels sticky if you wear them too long. I do love the arch support and the style, however. I am going to read reviews to see if anyone else mentions the issue of socks. I could wear socks with my old regular crocks and it was no problem. I just didn't like the holes on the top of the crocks and so I ordered these. I wear 7 1/2 normally and ordered the size recommended and they fit fine.

I ordered one size up to be able to wear them with thick socks for winter house shoes. They are very comfortable and they help my sore arthritic feet recover. I can wear them all day doing house work, cooking, climbing stairs, and carrying boxes. I never once felt like they were falling off or causing me to stumble.

This may be the shoe I’ve been looking for to make my feet not hate me after a long day at work. So far, I’ve noticed a huge improvement for my plantar fasciitis. Comfy right from the start!
