It features a higher lined cuff, molded heel and toe caps, and a side zipper for wearable ease. Crafted from LWG Gold Rated nubuck leather, it's equipped with a B-DRY waterproof/breathable membrane and Freeze Guard 200g insulation to keep feet warm and dry in cold conditions.

Review for Zappos VIP Points (What's this?)
These are great boots, testing them next month on winter mountain hikes, I am especially pleased they have both laces AND zipper. Laces make them adjustable, zipper makes them quick on and off.

I love these boots! They are much warmer than other hiking boots and did not take much time at all to break in! I recommend them for everyday use and for hiking. The zipper on the side makes for easy transitions on and off. True to size.

These snowboots are very comfy and warm and definitely meant for cold weather. The temperature has been swinging here and there is a lot of ice on the trails. The grip on these has been pretty great at minimizing slippage, even without my yaktraks.
