My orthopedist says I may wear only New Balance 928 for the health of my feet (almost all shoes hurt my feet, even these). I've tried to embrace my disability and wear the horrible, heavy, hot black leather brick of a shoe. I am slightly happier with the cooler white mesh - unfortunately the white screams "tourist! disabled tourist!" everywhere I go. WHY can't they make black mesh? I saw the grey and thought, okay these might make me look normal.And they would, but they are heavy, hot, and the sizing is completely off - the toe box has been shrunken. You probably won't use this review, but I don't care. I'm so sick of ordering shoes and returning them as you, Zappos, know. And I thank you for you endless patience with my shopping problems.

This is the third generation of this model of shoe for me. I have owned some pairs of each iteration. I ordered and received a black and a brown pair of this shoe. The first pair (some years ago) were fantastic. Since then, every pair has been less comfortable, ill fitting in some fashion and of lesser quality materials and construction. I am now searching for a brand of shoes other than New Balance. Our marriage is irrevocably deteriorated beyond saving.

I love the New Balance 928 Rollbars old and new..only order the all leather..so they keep their shape longer and I get at least six months out of one pair wearing them 24 seven . I stoppd ordering the women's because they seem to be not good fit for my wide feet..so since I went to a men's shoes size 7 1/2 I always wore an 8-81/2 in the women's.. I haven't had that problem . my life would not be the same without the shoes I pray they keep them coming . The new v3 is a tad narrower tha the v 2... but they eventually stretch so I'm not going to complain I love the room he toe area that's why I was attracted to the shoe to begin with I have wide flat feet and as far as I'm concerned this is the best shoe for that. I normally order two pair of the time this last time I ordered the brown and I'm glad I did I sure do not show dirt like the white ones do.. but I still love the white ones especially when their name I keep them for the gym I've got about four pair that I use for yardwork that's where they end up after a six month mark they go into yard shoes . when I first started wearing new balance rollbars probably 15 years ago they lasted a year one pair lasted a year now I wear two pairs a year so that goes to show that they have declined in quality but I'm not going to complain because the shoe still is a great shoe...!!!...and for the price I don't mind well you have to have a good shoe if you're going to walk.. and be on your feet all day long and half the night I love the new balance rollbars please don't ever stop making them I noticed a lot of the newer styles or not all leather please do not discontinue the all leather shoe it is the best !

This model is supposed to be widest last that New Balance makes but it is not cut full in the width, even with a 4EE size.

Im so disappointed in New Balance. I wore these so I can't return them so another expensive mistake. The toe box is slightly wider than the v2 but not much. After walking in them for a while my feet hurt and the shoe just doesn't fit the foot quite right. I compared the bottom of the shoe to my original 928 and found it to be much narrower. I guess to get it to fit I will have to buy the wide where the D fit before. If that doesn't do the trick I guess I'm going to have to say good bye to New Balance. They have cost me too much money to sit and be unusable!
