Suggest that you order a half of size larger. I would typically wear an eight, but in this shoe, an eight and a half was better. This is a cute shoe, but elastic bands make the shoe uncomfortable for me. They do stretch and hold the shoe on; however with a high in step, the elastic bands were uncomfortable after fifteen or twenty minutes.

I have never liked athletic shoes - no matter how gussied up with neon colors and weird soles, they're all clunky-looking and just ugly. These Tallulah shoes are the exact opposite - relatively sleek and slim and attractive enough to wear in public without looking like a gym rat. I wear them in my exercise class and find them perfect for the workout yet cute enough to satisfy my vanity ;-}. I especially fell for the open top with crisscross lacing. Unfortunately the built-in elastic was too tight, but I replaced that with regular shoelaces, which I tie at the sides for an extra cool look. Looks very chic and almost like ballet slippers! These may not be for hardcore athletes, but for someone who wants a comfortable, attractive shoe for exercise and comfortable walking around town, this shoe is a great choice.

I replaced the stretchy string strap with a black shoelace which I think is cuter, a bit more modern, and definitely more comfortable. You can wrap the shoe lace around your ankle and tie it there which I also like a lot better

just to tight, they are very cute though. I can't wear them ;(
