I was surprised to find this shoe cut into the side of my foot, as the leather is very stiff and hard. I have other Mephisto Helen shoes and they are very comfortable. Could not wear this at all.

This is the 2nd pair of the same style shoe. It looks so stylish & fits beautifully! I have worn Helen Sandler’s for over 15 years. I have a very narrow foot & it enables me to tighten the straps to hold my foot well. I can walk for miles in this shoe & not even noticed that I have worn it all day & walked so much! This is a fantastic shoe & I would highly recommend it!

SOOO dissapointed! These are so cute but wont work for me. I read many of the reviews and some stated the leather was stiff and hurt but some said they were extremely comfortable... well, I got a pair that literally cut into my foot around the toe area. Leather was extremely stiff and hard. To be fair, I do have a bit of a bunion on my right foot and that is exactly where the strap is. The footbed is AMAZINGLY comfortable and has great arch support but I have to return them.

I love Helen and have several pairs, but I wanted something a little different from the standard single color. When I saw this combination I bought it immediately, in spite of a review that said it was stiff. I didn't find that to be true at all. This combination, just like all of the Helen sandals, is comfortable from the moment I put it on. I LOVE IT and encourage anyone to get it. If you like the Helen sandal, you'll love this one just as much.
