US 9 (42 - 42.5). Sizing down 1/2 size should work for most people as the 8.5 was a perfect length. However, this shoe felt too loose in the heel for my narrower heel and I had to return the 8.5 to a local merchant. I ordered the 8 through Zappos and it was too short.
