This a nice windbreaker it is not a jacket. As such it is well made and the colors are stylish, functions well at keeping cold wind at bay and is great for layering. It is durable and light. You'll like it.

I've got an L.L.Bean Mountain Classic multi-color jacket that I'm genuinely excited about, and it's already earned its place in my pack for my thru hike on the Appalachian Trail in 2026. I love this jacket. It's light, packs easily, and still gives me the kind of wind and light-rain protection I know I can count on when the weather turns on a ridge or in a gap.
The fit is comfortable without being bulky, which makes it perfect for layeringover a base layer on cool mornings or over a fleece when the temperature drops. The multi-color design not only looks sharp, it also makes it easy to spot in a crowded gear pile. Zippered pockets keep the essentials secure, and the fabric feels durable enough to handle repeated wear on long days without feeling stiff or heavy.
