These are great shoes and a great brand, but they are very wide in the ankles and calves, even for rain boots. I have an average-sized 8-year old and his heels went up about half the length of the back of the boot, even though his toes hit the tips of the shoes. So if you have a kiddo with bigger calves or ankles, these are the rain boots for you!
