Note: Ankle is high -- I love Josef Seibel's shoes, but this one was a replacement for a few pairs I've traveled the world with... the issue is the bad ankle area is too high. I started getting a blister on one foot immediately just walking around in my kitchen. I *really* don't want to return them but they just aren't what 3 years ago shoes were made like. They did not have a high ankle area at all... it was all a neutral height. PLEASE please Josef... go back to what was working. (Red are the new version)

I wore these, straight out of the box without any break-in period, for our trip to Europe. I brought two pair of shoes, but the other pair proved unusable for any kind of sightseeing, so these were worn for about 18 days straight. We did typical sightseeing in the cities (walking 15k+ steps per day) as well as some traipsing around in forests and bogs. I had no issues with them; no blisters or sore feet in any way. These look more stylish than typical sneakers (but are just as comfortable, if not more) so I felt put together. I wore them with jeans, a maxi dress and capris. After we got home, I washed the laces, used a magic eraser on the rubber, polished the leather and they look great still. I almost always wear a size 10. I ordered a size 41.

These shoes were really cute. I ordered the yellow in size 38. I'm a US size 7, normal width and found these shoes too long and a little too wide. I would have to order the 37. I decided against the re-order as I bought these shoes based on their reputation for being a great walking shoe and having arch support. I wanted a stylish walking shoe for an upcoming vacation. In the end, I didn't think they were comfortable enough to log in many miles and had very little to no arch support. I did try a shoe insert/orthotic with them, but this actually only highlighted how little cushion the shoe has. So, to sum up, if you are looking for a cute, stylish, tennis shoe alternative for just everyday, casual use, these would be ok. If you want a tennis shoe to log miles in, look elsewhere.

Soft leather, so well-cushioned you could almost go jogging in them, and the camel color is fun. Sizing doesn't work for me. I tried the 40 and the 41. The 40 feels slightly too short, and by now I've learned my lesson about buying shoes that feel slightly too short --- they end up donated after one wear. On the other hand, the 41 is a little big. I compared the length to a couple pairs of size 10 running shoes and the sole is about the same length if not a hair longer. They are definitely longer than all my street shoes, including a pair of size 41 Eccos. This means they make my feet look bigger than I want them to look in non-athletic shoes. They are a little too wide --- the leather starts to wrinkle if I lace them on as tightly as I need to. The heel is not 100% secure, though it would probably work, which makes me think this shoe would actually do well on a lot of different foot types. I just wish they came in 40.5.
