Nice material, very disappointing design and craftsmanship. The leather itself is beautiful, I will absolutely give it that. The style is just pretty and classic enough to wish they'd done it well, but just barely. For the price I would have expected a smooth zipper experience (it was not) and a comfortable foot bed (it was NOT!). The boots are not well balanced, have zero cushion and minimal arch support. Plus, I'm a perfect 8 that can sometimes get away with a 7 1/2, but the 8 M was so narrow it hurt my pinky toe to just walk to the next room to use the mirror. At a lower price, I might have gone with a half size larger and used a gel insert for comfort but the real deal breaker is that the boots are so tall that I can't sit down in them! I am 5'3", admittedly short, but it looks like a design flaw to me. The front of the boot shaft comes just below my knee - seemingly perfect - but in the back it's at least an inch higher so I couldn't bend my knee! If you're tall for your shoe size, maybe you'll be ok, but that won't change the sticky, clunky zipper or the poor balance and narrow sizing. I can't believe they want over $300 for these boots!!
