I finally gave in and bought a pair of Hunter boots to see what all the rave was about and if it really worked well in the rain. I really love the quilt design giving a rubber rain boot a stylish look. While I can fit between 9.5/10, I found the 10 to fit much better while wearing heavy duty socks to keep my feet warm. Even though I'd consider my legs to be lean/average, I had no problem with these boots looking too wide and sloppy on me (even with skinny jeans or leggings). And no funny rubber smell after wearing them for a while. Overall, I'm very happy to have made this purchase and no longer have to deal with soaked legs and feet from a rainstorm.

My first pair of Hunter boots and I LOVE them! Love the STYLE, fit and comfort! I wear a size 10 but ordered a size 11. With my thick socks it’s a perfectly snug fit. Easy to put on and take off.

While I have not had a chance to wear them yet, I am definitely looking forward to it. The width of the calf is great - they are fitted, yet not tight. I don't think I could wear super thick socks as the shoe portion also fits me true to size, but I did not want to have to always wear thick socks just to wear them, so normal weight socks are perfect and nothing feels too snug.
