I absolutely love the look of these docs, but functionality was a miss. I would say they run smaller and size than most. Maybe it’s the square toe-box but I typically wear an 8 1/2 and size down to an 8 US. with these, my toe was touching the tips and I would say that I would need to definitely go up to the size 9. The other issue is the leather was super stiff, which I do think would break in overtime, but it was stiff enough that the zipper was hard to zip down and zip up again on the side. The very lowest portion of it wouldn’t zip down fully, which makes it very difficult to get your foot into without some work. I chose this particular boot with the zipper, so it would be easy to get off and on for work. For me having to battle to get it on to zip up was no easier than grabbing a pair that has laces or eyelets so unfortunately they will be getting returned.

I'm a size 9 in most shoes, including boots, and these were a full size too big. If you know your Doc size, just go with that. I questioned it because it has been many years since I've worn Docs, but the sizing seems to be the same as it always has been - one size larger. The square toe gives plenty of room, although the leather is snug across the top of the foot. The ankle is meant to be slim, and I was worried it would not be comfortable, but the elastic panels really do their job well and there isn't any discomfort. The loop on the back is solid and actually big enough to fit your fingers into it to help pull them on. The leather is stiff, but I expect it to stretch and wear well. The boots are unlined. The insoles are not removable. Some quick measurements (again, take from a size 9 women's): sole height 1.5 inches, shaft height (not including sole) 8.75 inches, shaft circumference 11.5 inches. I knocked off one star because these are heavy boots and will take time to break in. They look great, and can be styled many different ways, so I fully recommend them if you don't mind extra weight on your feet. They aren't as clunky as some styles of Docs, but much heavier than a Blundstone or Frye.

I marked small because I couldn't fit my skinny size 7 foot into the boot past the ankle part. I am so upset because the look and quality is fantastic. I assume it could be a manufacture mistake. Unfortunately I have to return them.

I like this pair of doc's. Comfortable and looks very stylish.

I just received my boots today. I ordered my true size (7 US) but the boots fit like a 7 1/2. I will have to double up on my thick shocks because they don’t come in 1/2 sizes and I know a 6 would be too tight. I love the boots and will keep them. I haven’t worn them yet so I gave 3 stars for Comfort.
