I like to wear long pants when hiking but also be somewhat cool in summer heat. These pants fit the bill as they are very thin and light. The inseam length is good for me at 6'5" with high top boots; size 36x34. For low tops, I would need another inch length. There are sufficient pockets but I took off one star due to the vertical zipper on the left cargo pocket. I assume the designers understand how gravity works. With a top horizontal zipper (like my old Silver Ridge convertible pants) you drop stuff in and close the zipper. Everything is secure without much thought. I don't trust the vertical zipper in the same way.

Similar to Silver Ridge pants with a few differences. The crotch has a gusset, providing more bending and stretching room. One rear pocket is flapped, the other is open. The utility model may have a slightly looser cut making them very comfortable. Not quite as stylish as the Silver Ridge pant but super for light duty work pants.

I bought a pair if convertible silver ridge pants many years ago that I loved! Those saw a lot of trail miles and now I'm excited for these as well. They fit perfectly and I really like the feel of the material. Should be able to stay nicely cool this summer.

Just bought the pants, so I don't know how well they will wear. The pockets are shallow; all of them. You would think when making a sport pant, you would make the pockets bigger, not smaller.
