These pants used to be a great travel/hiking pant: lightweight, stain-resistant, quick-drying, and lots of secure pockets. But Columbia ruined them: now they come with "OMNI-SHADE" embossed in shiny reflective letters on the right pant leg. Who in their right mind would want to walk around in pants emblazoned "OMNI-SHADE"? Tried to remove it with an acetone-based stain remover, but no luck. Please, Columbia... go back to one small, tasteful logo per item, please.

These pants fit my husband very well. He is slim in the hips, so the size we ordered was perfect. I had bought another pair previously and relied on reviews that said to order one size up. That proved to be too large. He now has 3 pairs and we use them for traveling as you can handwash them and they dry quickly. They fit well and look very good on him.

Nicely made and nice material but they were too long in the leg and too short in the rise. The extra matial in the knee may be OK for climbers but make the pants which have no shape to begin with extra sloppy around town.

These pants are nylon so they breath unlike polyester pants which do not. Polyester just causes your legs to sweat.
