Going to Vancouver with a forecast of rain every day. Overnight shipping was fantastic. I wear a size 18 and ordered both the 1x and the 2x. The 1x fit perfectly but I wanted to wear sweaters underneath the jacket so kept the 2x. It was not much bigger and did not look bulky at all. Very slimming. Kept me dry and was the perfect weight. Warm enough at 55 degrees; not overly hot while hiking in the mid 60's. Love it!

I wear a 2x in most jackets, this jacket was actually large thru the bust area but extremely tight in the armpit area. It was really weird! I read other reviews but thought I would try anyways. Sadly they were right! Arms are tight, more so the armpit is weirdly too small for the size of the rest of the roomy, almost bigger than a 2x jacket! Going back. Also, the jacket is crunchy, noisy!

I am rating this a 2 star item because of the fit. I typically wear a 1X or (sometimes) a 2X but NEVER have a purchased a 3X in my life. The 2X wouldn't even zip. Because of this I won't be buying a Columbia Rain jacket and will return and find something else on Zappos that is more true to size. Disappointed after being excited that Columbia had plus sized options. Oh well, they can't all be winners I suppose.
