A low quality shoe. The color has rubbed off the toes and parts of the heels. I wore these primarily in my home, so it was disappointing. The soles wore out in 8-9 months and had to be repaired. Frankly, I expected this to happen. I've owned the same shoe style for 25+ years and they used to be okay way back when. They are truly junk, now, but they still look good at first and remain a style I like but can no longer continue to buy due to low quality.

Normally I don’t take the time to write reviews. But this time I felt inclined to share my experiences. This was the 2nd pair of the same type of Cole Haan shoes (Pinch Penny in burgundy) I’ve ordered in the past 3 weeks from 2 different retailers. Dye was very splotchy over several areas on both shoes - each blotch was the size of a postage stamp (see pictures). Have worn Cole Hahn’s for over 20 years. The quality seems to be going down as the production was moved from the US to Mexico and now to India. I’m moving on to another brand of shoe. Not sure which brand but definitely NOT Cole Haan. Do yourself a favor and move on to another brand as well.

Outstanding Value, Fit, and Style - My first order from Zappos.com, the Cole Haan Pinch Penny was a resounding success. I frequently order shoes online since I wear a size 15. My previous experiences have been plagued with long waits, out of stock items, and poor customer service... until I found Zappos.com. The ordering process was simple and straightforward with a confirmation email immediately following the sale. The price was competitive and the order was received NEXT DAY! Simply remarkable. The shoes were factory fresh, appearing as if they had just come off the line. The fit was what I expected, perhaps a fraction longer at the back, and the medium width felt like a generous medium for my E feet. I was glad I decided against a wider size. The penny slot is not sewn over so you can indeed place a coin there if you are into the tradition. I am a wedding DJ so I place a silver sixpence there and present it to the bride as a gift on her wedding day. "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, And A Silver Sixpence In Her Shoe." The last line, often forgotten, is immediately recalled when the sixpence is presented (and my shoes noticed and complimented when I retrieve it!). Zappos.com has won a lifelong customer.
