If you want a thick soled walking shoe (I don't run anymore) that provides good cushioning but not overly spongey instability, and that doesn't awkwardly splay wide like a Hoka, this is a good one. I normally wear a 12 1/2 in Brooks (and most others) but based on other reviews I ordered a 13 and it fits great--Highly recommended.

Excellent Shoe. I dont run but am on my feet all day. I use my orthotics with these. They have a good amount of support, but I need more. For reference, I also have the Addiction which are awesome and have a lot of support, and I dont use my orthotics with the Addiction. The Ghost Max are great for me as an all day, move around, work, errands etc shoe. Love them!

Ive always worn ghost, tried the glycerins and they felt too wide. These are great, the same feel as ghost with more shock absorption. I also like the vintage look

I got these shoes for casual wear, walking shoes. I wear ghost when running and cascadia when hiking. Ive worn Brooks for the last 8 years - the cushioning and durability are superior to any brand.
