This shoe is fabulous. It's gorgeous to begin with, and it feels so great I think I'm going wear them every day until the rain and snow come back. The color (red was the only choice when I ordered) is orange-red, NOT blue-red. It's often a hard color to find and it's so pretty on this shoe! The suede is soft. The zipper is comfy and doesn't dig into my ankle. I can't tolerate an arch and have trouble with heels over about 1-1.5" high; this shoe is flat as a pancake inside and out. Have I told you yet that I LOVE them? When I ordered them, I worried that about fit because I'm a solid 8.5 medium in Born -- and this was not available in half sizes... by the way, am I only one waiting for the day when a shoe comes only in HALF sizes? Yeah, I didn't think so. Anyway, I bracketed and I ordered an 8 and a 9 (because ... free shipping both ways, right?). The 9 was waaay too big and at first I thought the 8 was too small. But being heartbroken and still in love, I put them back on and wore them around the house... and within about an hour, they felt perfect! The suede got warm enough to give just the right amount, the footbed is wide enough that I'm not standing on the seam, and I might just wear these puppies to bed tonight.

I’d like to preface my review by saying that I am very satisfied with Zappos customer service and my observations regard an undetermined issue that does not include the actual comfort or fit. Tom was pleasant and assisted me with an exchange over the phone and I received my package within 48 hours. I understand that the way things stand right now, with Covid19 its not ideal for employees and the individual I spoke with still offered professional and friendly service despite conditions probably not being convenient so thank you, Tom. Onto the product quality review: I was disappointed to receive my Red Born Iwa sandal with defects, a SECOND time. I feel that for the cost, the shoe should arrive without a single bit of wear or damage. The first pair that I exchanged had some kind of glue like stuff on them, and the area right above the zipper had little pieces of paper glued to it...so I returned those for the same style, different pair, which are admittedly improved, but still have some odd marks or stains, and I am not sure which, (I was going to try and spot rinse the area but didn’t want to damage the shoe further by scrubbing the area). I did lightly rub the area to see if it was just a naturally occurring imperfection, but it is indeed some kind of stain or scuff). I hate to harp on this but I am just trying to determine the source of the problem/alert Zappos to this, (if it were a cheap/poorly made shoe I wouldn’t mind as much, but for the quality and price I can’t ignore this). Lastly, I’m ultimately satisfied with my other Zappos purchases and my black leather Born Iwas arrived in mint condition. These are beautiful, well made shoes and I am looking forward to receiving a perfect pair because I cannot wait to wear them and update my review with a positive report. I love you enough, Zappos to give you another chance! I’ve included pictures of the second exchanged pair, and where the marks occur: Once on the front right edge of right shoe, front and center of left shoe, and right shoe next to emblem.

I am posting an additional review because I couldn't find a way to add a photo to the one I posted last year. There have been questions about arch support on this shoe... in general, I find that Born doesn't have a lot of arch support, which is why Born is my go-to company. In my previous review, I said the shoe was flat as a pancake but others say it has arch support. That's confusing as all get out. So here's a pic of the "arch" on this shoe. You might wonder where it is... if there were one, it would be bumping up on the bottom of the distant triangle.

Oh man! There's a reason these beauties are selling out everywhere - the unbeatable combo of being super stylish and super comfortable! Cushiony and comfy right out of the box, hugging my (slightly wide, but just slightly) feet perfectly. I can tell they will get even more comfortable with wear! The bronze suede is unbelievably soft with just a hint of sheen, so they will go with so many outfits! The arch support is a smidge under moderate. I purchased my normal 9M in Born shoes and found them true to size. It's going to be difficult to not purchase these in every.single.color. Highly recommended! (If that wasn't already clear!)

How cute and beautiful are these? They are SERIOUSLY cute and beautiful. The leather felt as though it was melting around my foot. I cannot express my joy to you upon putting these on other than that I was transported to untold bliss. I have the bronze. The saucy little zipper at the back leaves a daring dip on the back of the foot. Try them, you’ll love them. Trust.
