I walked around on my living room rug briefly just to try them out, and I knew right away I was keeping them. Original birkenstock footbed (but you can't tell). These are extremely cute, comfortable, stylish, and kinda discrete. They honestly do not look like orthopedic shoes! I suffer from psoriatic arthritis, and cannot wear a ballerina flat for things like school presentations, interviews, etc. If i wear a heel, it must be a block heel on plateform. Adorable shoe, don't hesitate! There was a reason they were sold out!

Wow! I pulled these out of the box thinking, oh they won't work just like the last eight pair. (Thank-you Zappos) They are the most perfect shoe for my many foot ailments, it is unreal! Please, dont stop making these. My husband said get another pair, and he is right. I wear an 8W and the 8 regular fit perfect with a little wiggle room. The strap at the angle is so comfortable. The footbed is firm and very supportive. The upper leather is dreamy soft for bunions and spurs. They have just the right amount of flex without irratating toes that do not bend. Above all that, they are cute and feminine!!! Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!

I was very nervous about buying these as my Birk sandals tend to make my feet tired. I'm a solid size 8 US or 38 EU in most shoes. I have to admit, I was very pleasantly surprised with the flexible, ergonomic footbed and just how comfortable the soft leather upper was. There was no break-in period whatsoever. Full disclosure, I have a gimpy hip, ridiculously flat feet, and prolonged walking or standing can be excruciating. So, I'm like Goldilocks when it comes to shoes. This one is too tight, that one is too heavy, this one is trying to support arches I don't have and now I have blisters, etc, etc. These shoes fit me just right and I love them! <3 Plus, I'm a sucker for all things mary jane style. I love that Birkenstock is venturing into making proper casual shoes. I will definitely be on the lookout for more styles and I highly recommend these shoes. I would definitely buy them again.

I normally wear a size 7 shoe in US sizes. With Birkenstock sandals, I wear a 37 (6 to 6.5) so that's what I ordered in this style. They just fit, but looked a little stunted like they were too short so I probably would have returned them for a larger size. They seemed comfortable. They are not, however, cute as many reviewers claim. They are very dorky, and not in a dorky but cool kind of way. Definitely only for those who value comfort over style. Even then, there has to be something better.

I have several other Birkenstocks and got these in my normal 40 narrow size. They fit my foot well but then are narrower than many Birkenstock in the same size and width. They have a slim profile which I love and it makes them dressier. The leather (black leather) is actually nice and soft and there is a light elastic under the buckle that makes walking in them comfortable. In other words the strap does not dig into the top of your foot because it gives a little bit. My only disappointment was that I ordered the black with the silver buckle but they sent the gold buckle. I’m going to keep them because I don’t feel like exchanging them but wish they were silver.
