Super light, easy to clean, extremely comfortable and better than average support for a sandal. As to the complaints regarding "fart sounds": it doesn't happen that often and when it does it doesn't actually sound like a fart. Just a foot, or a wet foot, on synthetic material. The sandal is much more comfortable than a flip flop since the support is better and the straps allow you to adjust the fit. Fear not the foot farts! Seriously not that big of a deal.

I ordered a size smaller after reading somewhere that it runs long. I actually tried out my usual birkenstock size (37) last year at a store and that had been too large. That put me off from buying it then. I had been waiting for it to come back in stock in all retail stores since to try the smaller size. Glad I waited and also glad Zappos carries them now! I got the 36 and my feet are in the foot bed perfectly. They are so, so comfortable! I’m a flip flop wearer but this might just change the game because of the arch support birkenstock offers on all its shoes. I’m gonna have to get another color because I have the feeling I’m gonna be ditching flat flip flops for anywhere I have to get my feet wet! Photos of product and also of the usual size birkenstock that I wear for comparison. This style is my first Gizeh and I think they tend to run longer because the 36 fits just perfect for me.

I got them today. Ive been wearing them all day. They feel great. I have Plantar Fasciitis that I had to operate. After 5 years of treatment my doctor said to operate. Now I wear orthotics and can only wear closed shoes, no sandals. I have 6 pair of Birks just like these but with cork and they were too high in the instep. These seem to be perfect for my condition but you need to size the correctly. I wear 7-1/2 to 8 . These needed to be 36 for the instep to fall just right. Thank you. I will be buying some in color !!!
