These shoes are perfect for my imperfect feet. I recently had one foot reconstructured and the other needs surgery. I purchased 7 pairs, including Dansko, Clark's, Merrells and Keens, and returned and thought there were no shoes for me. I called again with Alegria as a possibility. I spoke with a rep who had been to the manufacturer and also wears Alegria. She suggested Paloma to me, explaining Alegria have so much padding even the ball of the foot. She said the patents are lined with leather and are extremely soft. I chose the tortoise color to wear with all colors. I had a smile as I put them on. I am amazed by the soft glove leather feel of these shoes. I have never felt shoes like these. I am so glad I tried again and now have these adorable mary janes. Thank you to Zappos for treating me great even though I had returned so many shoes in one month. Thank you to Viola for finding the perfect shoe for me.

These shoes have excellent arch support and a very comfortable foot bed. I am a size 8.5 and I got them in a 38 which is a perfect fit. The velcro strap is nice too because it allows you to adjust the strap to fit the top of the foot without cutting into it or putting too much pressure across the top of the foot. I have high arches so this is a problem I have had with Dansko mary janes. The other thing I like about these shoes is that compared to other Dansko or clog style/comfort foot bed shoes, is that they are light weight but have a sturdy sole. The leather is pretty soft too which means less breaking in time and no blisters! I got them in the Pewter Charmer color and they remind me of a Ziggy Stardust snake. They look a lot more blue-ish multi colored than in the photo here, but for me that's a good thing. I love this brand and plan to purchase more from this company. I highly recommend these for anyone who has fatigue or back pain.

Alegrias are so comfortable and so much fun! I bought the basic black Paloma for choir performances when I have to stand still for over an hour. But now I have thrown caution to the wind and own four more pairs, including the fun prints and ones with bejeweled buckles! I have always worn Danskos for the arch support, but these are even better. I disagree with all those who say they run big, or maybe I just like them looser. I wear a 7-1/2 in most shoes, which according to the Alegria size chart is a 37. But I wear a 38 in Danskos and Birkenstocks because I don't want them to hug my foot like a sneaker, so for me, the Alegria 38s are perfect. If you want them to feel secure like a running shoe or fashion pump, buy a size smaller. If you want to wallow in comfort and have happy feet, buy your true size. (Having said that, I must add a detail: I buy the 38s in the closed styles - Paloma and Feliz and in the Classics, but a 37 in the open-toe sandals.)

I love these shoes! Not only are they festive but so comfortable to wear standing for many hours. And they kind of roll when you walk due to the curved sole, which gives you a little boost forward. I debated for an hour whether to get the size 39 or 40 and after reading many reviews decided on the 39, and it fits perfectly. I usually wear a size 9-1/2 but fluctuate between a European size 39 and 40.

These are awesome! Trying to decide between 40 and 41 sizes. The uppers are stiff and may take some wear to soften...possibly. I got the gypsy rose and see that each shoe is unique. No matter how many shoes of the same style you order in gypsy rose, the design on each one will be different. I am roughly 60 and have problem feet. In my exhaustive search to find comfortable and “fun” shoes for an important wedding, I eventually gave Alegria a try. I’m glad I did! The comfort of the footbed is unparalleled. Nice stability with the sole. Great toe room that allows for bunions and the silicone separators I wear. I think I am entering a new shoe love affair. In the pics, the shoes on the left are 41s and the ones on the right are 40s. Hopefully, you can see the difference in design on each shoe. Just love them!! ??????
