I've worn Alegria shoes for decades. I had such high hopes for these shoes too. Sadly, the leather was so stiff I don't think I could have gotten them broken in. I usually 'massage' the leather until it becomes softer. But these shoes also rub my ankle bone. Sadly, back they go.
OH,,,if you have Alegria shoes that squeak when you walk, pop out the insole, rub the edges with cornstarch from the kitchen or baby powder with cornstarch. Put the insole back in the shoe and off you go. I've never had to do this more than once on any of my Alegrias, and I have MANY.

These shoes are perfect. They are comfortable. They look good with my scrubs. From my experience with this shoe, I would say they are true to size. I normally wear a 38, but they didn't have my size and I did not want to wait, so I went up to a size 39 which is a little big, but I just wear thicker socks. I only wear Alegria shoes, I have several different styles and this one fits in well! Also, the shipping was awesome, I ordered on a Friday, I got them the following Monday.
