These are really cute and was hoping they would fit...perfect for throwing in a suitcase or your purse to have when tired of walking in regular shoes. I don't mind the barefoot feel of shoes with soles like these but they'd have to fit more snuggly than they did for me. I wear a 6.5-7...more towards the 7 these days and the smalls were too big both in width and length. There was no way to tighten the straps enough to make them fit snuggly. So, they were not comfortable. Maybe the extra small may have worked but I wouldn't want something hitting the top of my toe. Cute idea, just not for me. I'd imagine if they fit others well, they'd love them.

I was hoping that these shoes would help to alleviate a pinched nerve in my foot by spreading out the metatarsals; unfortunately, it was not successful. If it were not for the continued pain in my foot from the pinched nerve, I would have loved these. They were very comfortable, although there was a little rubbing on the ankle but I think this would have improved with wear.

Takes time to learn how to "walk" your toes in when you put them on. Just like walking barefoot, except good protection for the sole of your foot. Love them!

Excellent type of shoe to carry if you need an extra pair to keep in the car or your bag. It is a "barefoot" style so there is minimal cushioning and no arch support. The are very comfortable though.

I bought these to replace the original Alitza Five Finger shoes that I had worn so much I had put holes in 3 toes and almost worn through the soles! I was a bit skeptical of how the loops would look, but I was surprised to discover that I really like how they look on my foot. I found the fit on these a bit wonky. I ordered the same size as my previous Alitzas, but because of the changes, they don't fit nearly as well and feel too big. My old ones were a bit tricky to get on, but once on, fit just perfectly like a glove. They were almost unnoticeable they fit so well! These are a bit easier to slip on because of the design of the loops which stay in a foot shape. There is very little elastic on the loops, which means that the fit is not nearly as custom, and they gap a little on my foot, which leads to some uncomfortable rubbing if I wear them to walk more than 3 miles. The fabric is a bit heavier and hotter than the original Alitzas. The biggest disappointment, by far, is the funny boxy-shaped toes. I thought perhaps it was just because they had a cardboard foot-form in them when I bought them, but it really is just how they are constructed. There is so much extra fabric in the toes that I could easily have toes twice the size and still fit them in. It makes the fit feel sloppy, but what disappoints me more is that they look clunky, not like a smooth, dressy, ballet-slipper fit. I wear these shoes for everything in the summer, from walking, to yardwork, to running errands, and even church. I would recommend these shoes for anyone looking for a cute minimalist shoe, but I cannot give them 5 stars because of the weird shaped toes and sloppy fit. I have attached a photo that shoes my old Altizas compared with the Altiza Loop. Notice how ridiculously baggy the toes are on the Alitza Loop shoe. They look very sloppy!

The sole was impossibly narrow under the arch. So much for me wearing them and not actually touching the ground.

Awesome wearable conversation starter! Absolutely no arch support has its advantages at times. You can tell that these are base model Vibram's because your feet have a higher chance of getting wet and sandy. These shoes make you want to invest more in your next pair!

These shoes are super comfy. However, I have narrow feet and couldn't snug them up very well. Also, the look of them takes a little getting used to.

Shoe fits me well. I'm a larger guy (13.5, 4E) and these fit me real well. If you like this type of shoe, this one is true to fit

I bought these to wear in yoga and NIA classes and I think they'd be fine for that purpose. Trouble is, I had bunion surgery and the "fingers" hurt my sensitive toes.

I followed earlier reviews and got one size smaller than I had. Worked perfectly. I'm coming from Bakilis so I didn't quite know what to expect. It's a really good shoe.

Vibram says these shoes are for “everywhere you go and everything you do,” which is false advertising. The first time I went hiking in these (on a very easy, clear path, mind you) every tiny thorn and thistle snagged the shoe — not to mention how the shoe did not handle going down any kind of hill. That said, the Furoshiki is truly an amazing shoe, and one that I would personally highly recommend — for many things but not all things. I have always avoided Vibram anything because, well, they make the toe shoes and because I have some self respect. But I have been wearing minimalist shoes for several years now, because they have provided benefit to my body — most especially my problematic back and knees. I first saw the Furoshiki’s, surprisingly, on the streets of NYC. I actually thought they looked stylish, too. Imagine my surprise that these were produced by the same company that makes toe shoes. I have to say: this is an extremely well-designed shoe for a lot of uses. It really is truly minimalist and, unlike a lot of minimalist shoes, the Furoshiki feels more like a sock that a shoe. While some complain about the heel cup, I love it — because it feels secure. In most minimalist shoes, my foot still slips and slides around, which isn’t ideal. This is the first shoe, of any kind, that I feel does not alter my gait in *any* way at all — which I thought impossible! Some say this shoe is “hot” — meaning it doesn’t breathe. I don’t find that to be true at all. I am wearing them in the upper 90’s on hot pavement and my feet aren’t suffocating; they aren’t even sweating in them. This shoe feels extremely breathable, but I realize that all feet are different. The sole is said to be “dynamic” and adaptive — both of which I find to be true (if you get a shoe in your size range). Problematically, though, Vibram has a different size chart on its website than what is printed on the box (and Zappos has a size chart that differs from BOTH!) — so beware! I think the size chart on the box is probably most correct — which means you’ll need to go up a size from what the online advice says. For example: I wear a US size an 11 (in every shoe made) and my toes are at the VERY END of the XL (which “should” accommodate a size US 12/12.5…but it does not). But once you get the correct fit, the Furoshiki is hard to beat. These shoes are machine washable and perfect for most daily activity (though they take longer than you’d think to air dry). They are not durable enough for strenuous exercise or really any kind of exercise which requires hills or quick movement. The elastic nature of these shoes has too much give. But for everything else, you’d be hard pressed to find a more comfortable shoe. And I am surprised I am going to say this about something Vibram makes, but: the Furoshiki’s are actually quite stylish, and have become my go-to every day shoe.

My 6th or so pair of VFFs, male, 53y.o. I agree with the other review--these run small! I normally wear a 44, returned for 45s, which are just right, not loose at all. A little tight in one of the toes. Other than that, Super comfortable, more lightweight than the KSOs I normally wear, so more if a casual shoe than an athletic shoe.

I have messed up feet and I'm a runner. Custom orthotics, tender care. BUT THESE SHOES ARE GREAT!!!!!!!! And no photographs have captured how fantastic they actually look. They are cute and not ugly. Just so you know.

Order the European size. I ordered a size 8, 40 European and they were too big. Size 38 European fit perfectly. Great shoes and color that I use for yoga and weight lifting.

My husband had a hard time getting them on. They were very tight. In fact, as he wore them around the house, he realized they were too tight. Sending them back. Don't know if they would have loosened up when they got wet.

Mistakenly ordered one size larger than I usually wear, but this pair rubbed on my two smallest toes like it was actually too small.
