I wanted to love this but I travel a lot with one International carry on and need a backpack that can accommodate all my extra items. My list: Camera in bag, 10.5"iPad Air, extra shoes, make up bag, chargers, 2 pair of glasses in. cases, small moleskin note book, misc small items, travel pharmacy (think quart size bag), Bose head phones, and small cross body purse and an 18 oz hydroflask. ALL of that needs to fit in a back pack...I know I'm asking a lot but hey, that's what I need. I ordered 17 backpacks and test packed all of them. This was a loser! I ended up buying the Victornox Sport Pilot because everything fit comfortably with a little room to spare!

This was a successful Christmas gift for my gym loving SO who asked for a large bag. This is well made, looks new after months of use. It's large enough to carry multiple days of clothes and pairs of shoes.

Total miss. This top heavy POS falls over with surprising velocity. The hard compartment at the top ensures that the top flap hangs open so it takes 2 hands to close. The long zippered compartment on the side ensures all of your stuff falls out as soon as you open it. I so wanted to like this bag and tried numerous ways to make it work, to no avail. What were they thinking?

Well constructed but not well thought out. The padded laptop compartment hits the floor, but the section is deep enough that you can add your own padding. The bag opens oddly and the hard section for sun glasses or whatever is part of the front flap and that causes the bag to flop open. The water bottle pockets are narrow and not very deep. And, the bag has only 1 main compartment. The front compartment has only a side zipper and is pretty useless. You have to unzip it all the way to get to the bottom of it and when you do, everything else falls out . Look elsewhere.

This would be a fabulous back pack if it had more room. The zippered opening of the main section is not large enough, zip only opens halfway. You can definitely put a laptop in fine, good padding, but the padding takes up too much depth of the main section, leaving little room for anything like clothing. The bottom gusset of the whole bag too narrow. The small top pocket is extremely small, might take glasses, a wallet and a phone. The color, fabrication and the design are great. The padded and contoured shoulder straps are excellent. So great for a day pack/work bag maybe, but not at all for a weekend bag. I am sad about this as outwardly it is just what I was looking for. Will have to send it back.

This is a very good bag with quality materials, good organization and great style. I like the organization on this bag. The front org panel is very good and there is space in the bottom for more gear. My only gripe is I wish there was a vertical pocket on the front where there is a vertical seam on the bag. It totally looks like there is one there because that space has a little bit of volume to it so that was a bummer. Laptop area was pretty big. It was a little snug on my massive work computer but it still fit. I wish the laptop compartment was a separate section, but what can you do. Not the most comfortable bag, but still comfortable enough. Overall this is a very nice bag with just a couple minor quibbles (no separate laptop compartment, no quick access pocket on the front) I would recommend this bag to others, but ultimately it is not for me.

This bag is much more spacious than expected, definitely spacious enough for a 2-3 day trip. Very strong, durable material. Your choice if you want a tote look or bring the corner flaps down for a streamlined look. Very nice hardware on this duffel. Also like that the interior isn't black, making it much easier to find items. looking forward to using this great duffel for many years. Really like the magnetic grab handles. High quality bag.

The is a great commuter bag-- very durable, water resistant, comfortable when wearing the straps, and low profile. Not too many pockets so I can find my stuff.

Overall a good bag. Just took it for two weeks through Europe as my backpack. Materials are great and the look and finish are really good. Comfortable even packed out. Here's the drawback - the zippers don't fully zip down the sides of the bag, maybe to the 3/4 mark. So, when you're fully packed it's tough to get to the stuff way at the bottom without unloading. I appreciate the ample water bottle storage on either side. Again, those pockets got tight when really packed out. I was able to fit h20 collapsible bottle, ipad, plane head pillow, another pack-able day pack, all my chargers and cables, headphones, pills, face wipes, snacks, and my wife's rain jacket, and my stuff able rain jacket, and the small point and shoot camera we have. It was loaded up, but did the job. In the future, I might opt for a different style of opening bag for 2 week in EU as we were in and out of the bags often and constantly repacking from hotel to hotel. But, for a quick overnight or couple days - I think I could make this work with a packing cube for my single bag travel. I'm a minimalist and love that option. So, if you're not trying to get in and out of this thing all the time - its a win.

This is a really nice backpack. It is comfortable to wear and it feels very well made. The bag has many different compartments to keep all of your things organized. The only thing that I don't like about this backpack is that there are no external pockets on the front; you have to go into the main compartments to access everything. I am a graduate student and am mostly using this backpack for work, but I think it would also be great for travel.

Beautiful backpack. Very comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. Handles on both top, bottom, and 1 side makes it easy to move around. Side access to laptop is very convenient. Highly recommended.

I've been hunting for a backpack for a while now, mostly for traveling and I was actually introduced to this brand by my husband. Love the quality, feels like it'll last for years. I bought this size and the 30L subterra to compare and the 30L was more suited to what I wanted it for. This bag would be good for a daily commute, but a tad bit too small for me for my needs.

So I purchased this as a gym/travel bag and it truly has impressed me in the week that I've owned it. The compression straps on the inside are a great addition and allow you to pack even more than you think you'd be able to. I've packed a towel, boots, toiletry kit, sweatshirt and pants, shorts, flip flops, and sneakers. All of this and I still have space left to use! You won't be disappointed, high price for a high quality product! I've spent $400 on a backpack and I always make sure companies have warranties just in case!
