Too stiff, like standing on a piece of iron board. But my physical therapist recommended them to me, so I put them in my walking shoes anyway. After one mall trip, I developed plantar fascistic on my right heel. I've never had problems with my heel before. So I know for sure it's caused by this insole. Still struggling with the heel pain.

Hugely disappointing. Having really liked Sole's thin sport I was really excited about the inclusion of the met-pad as I doctor the thin sport to have met relief. I use these for cycling and a few things stood out which made me decide to send them back. First the arch support is significantly less then the thin sport. This was a deal breaker as heat molding the insole would only decrease the arch which was too low already. Second they are not nearly as supportive as the thin sport, the cork-based material has more give, too much give to make them useful for cycling for me. I had looked forward to these for awhile, ugh.

I used these to replace the insoles in a pair of Sperry Top Sliders. They have worked out great. They have more arch support than what was originally in the Top Sliders, but it feels better to me. I had to trim the toe box area and used the original insoles to trace it out, but the heels fit great. They do seem to wick moisture as my feet haven't gotten as sweaty, but for the odor control, I haven't had them long enough to verify that. So far I love them and have no complaints.

I wanted to try the Sole brand because of the footbed that is supposed to mold to the unique shape of your foot. I can't comment on that aspect of the shoe, as I didn't wear them long enough for this to occur. The problem I had was the width of the shoe being much too wide for my average width foot. The whole top part of the shoe was much too roomy. My feet slid forward with my toes nearly hanging over the front edge of the shoes. I did find the footbed to be quite comfortable...firm, yet somewhat cushy. The arch support was moderate, I'd say. I have a moderate to low arch and it felt supportive but not painfully pushing into my arch like some shoes with higher arch supports have, such as Vionic. I think this could be a quite comfy shoe if you have a wider, plumper or higher instep foot. When I stood in the shoe with my feet properly sitting in the footbed, they felt good on my feet. The length was true to size. The size 6 fit great lengthwise and I am usually a 6 in sandals. I'd recommend these if you need a roomy and supportive shoe.

This is an excellent sandal, really comfortable and seems like it is suited to outdoor conditions. It has great arch and metatarsal support, which is really important to me. Only reason I gave four instead of 5 stars overall is that you can't adjust the strap and it's a little wide for my foot.

Wear them all summer. Helped heal plantar fasciitis. Get a little smelly but can wash in shower.

I didn't know that I own a pair of inserts from SOLE. It's the one you heat and mold to your foot in the oven. They work beautifully in my winter sports boots and provide nice insulation as well as support for my pronating feet. These non-flip flop sandals seem to be designed just a well with good, firm arch support and a nice broader toe area and a single strap (a combo of suede and stretch material) that fits despite not being adjustable. I have had plantar fasciitis in the past so am always looking for good support. So far, so good as I have "auditioned" these in my home. The size Euro 38 is perfect. These are not as stiff as Orthaheels which I had hoped would work but became very uncomfortable instead. Sketchers Shape Ups were too unsteady. Can't wear New Balance last. Merrells no longer has the quality or sizing I used to rely on. It's been difficult to find a supportive slide style sandal that is not a flip flop. Once worn a bit more so it molds to my particular feet (which is what they are advertised to do), this SOLE just might "fit" the ticket! Thank you, Zappos, for having such a broad selection of items and fab service!
