Scott Hawaii

Scott Hawaii Logo
Scott Hawaii had its start in 1932 after founders Elmer and Jean Scott moved from Marblehead, Massachusettes to the Territory of Hawaii. Coming from a long lineage of shoemakers, it didn't take them long to establish a reputation within their new community as manufacturers of quality footwear. Their specialty was plantation boots for the sugarcane and pineapple field workers who were so prevalent back in the day. With the start of World War II, materials came in short supply and businesses servicing the United States military were given priority access to these materials. To meet these new conditions, Scott Hawaii changed direction and began focusing on casual footwear, which it sold to the military exchanges. The “slipper” was born.

Scott Hawaii was founded on the principal of quality and to this day it is still the most important aspect of the business. Scott Hawaii backs its products with a “lifetime of the sole” guarantee. Without question it is the best in the industry. Scott Hawaii footwear is guaranteed against defects such as, but not limited to, straps pulling out or sole separation for the life of the sole. The life of the sole is effectively over when the outsole has worn through to the next layer at any point.

I love Scott's in general but these were off. The arch wasn't in the right spot and the rubber tag that says Scott rubbed against the top of my feet and I got blisters. Luckily I was able to return them.

The strap material is very thin and the edges cut into top of foot. The sole/platform is amazing but ultimately I chose the Rocket Dog brand instead because of the strap design.

It is a flip flop, nothing more. Quality is excellent, comfort is well, okay—it is a flip-flop!

What I love about Scott Hawaii flip flops is the arch support and cushioning under the whole foot that lasts and doesn’t break down so quickly over time. I have a pair of these black Scott Hawaii Mele flips that are easily 5-6 yrs old. I’m only replacing them because I want a ‘new-looking’ pair - my trusty old pair is just as comfy and supportive as they were when when new. You may think that $30 is a lot to spend on summer flips but I buy Scott Hawaii every time. Great quality, they last and stay comfortable as they get old. I absolutely love them and I believe you’ll love them, too and become a fan like me! I wish Scott Hawaii would make the Mele in 10 different colors - I’d buy them all!

Love theses flip flops! They seem durable and well made, after ten or so days of use, but time will ultimately tell if they stand up to my high standards. The foot bed is molded nicely and have excellent arch support for a flip flop, which makes them comfortable for long walks. The webbed strap is soft and great looking with everything from beach casual to a summer night out. The only drawback is that they are twice as heavy as any other flip flops that I have owned, so because the materials are more dense, I expect them last a long time.

Love the fit! Love the style!... But the foot bed feels sweaty... Even before my feet get sweaty. Also it seems like it would get damaged easily... I'm so disappointed because I love the style... and the natural leather look with the black. I'd probably give them more of a chance if I could wear them around for a couple days, but since they need to be like new to return, I'm not taking the chance of "sweaty foot feeling" that doesn't go away once these are "broken-in"... Maybe a better version will come out next year.

Love these sandals! Bought them to replace a pair of Cushe’s that broke. I thought I wouldn’t find anything I liked as well but these are even better than my old favorites! Nice and cushioning but supportive. No rubbing around the toe area.

These are not nice at all. If I had paid $15 for them at the local Shoe Mart, I would have been satisfied. They are basic and reasonably comfortable. But $38? I also bought several other sandals at the same time for about the same price, and they were all of far superior quality. Returning.

Best sandal ever. I wear sandals most of the year and these are comfortable, durable and have great support and cushioning. I wear a 10.5 in most sneakers (puma, asics, vans). Size 11 in these Scott sandals fit me perfectly.

I really wanted to like these, but the arch support was uncomfortable. It felt like the hump was too far forward so that it dug into the bottom of my foot but didn't actually support the arch.

Have worn flip flops most of my life spring through fall, primarily Rainbow with some Olukai sprinkled in. Decided to try out the Scott Pala'ole for a change of pace, glad I did. My feet are a wide 8.5; Rainbow medium fits very well, Olukai 8 or 9 can be iffy. Read that Scotts run a bit small, so I ordered up, got a 9. Feels like it fits like an 8.5, so perfect for me. Pretty much identical in length to my Rainbows. Felt great out of the box, I didn't need any break-in period; the neoprene under the strap was very comfortable. They look pretty sharp, offer a fair amount of support, maybe a little heavier than I'm used to but not overly so. I'll probably never give up wearing Rainbow hemps, but I think I've found a new everyday flip flop in the Scott Pala'ole.

Superb quality. I had never owned a Scott’s & I will never buy another brand again. These are really well made. They are actually slightly heavy, because of the sole. In the process of buying another pair right now.
