I've worn safety toe work boots for more than 30 years and these are one of the worst pair of boots I've worn. I gave them a month. I didn't keep the box, so my loss. My feet sweat bad and hurt after 8 hours. I even added new inserts. This didn't help. They do run big, are very wide, and have a very weird smell. This must be the combination of the leather and waterproofing. Very disappointed

Very comfortable for work boots. Look cool. Definitely a size too big. I needed to exchange.

Shoe looked good, but was very narrow at the toe, not much padding for soles. When I added a Dr. Scholls insert, shoe forced foot up and got several large blisters from excessive rubbing along top of shoe. I should have ordered at least 1 size large that what I usually wear, I ordered half size larger, was still very narrow, very uncomfortable to wear.

I bought these shoes for my brother and I had to try three times to get the size right! I started with a size 10 and ended with a size 9 (in dress shoes he typically wears a size 10). He liked them at first but after three wears, he found that they cause irritation to the backs of his heels. Had to return them. My guess is that they were still too big.

A bit stiff in the ankle area the first three days being worn. Foot bed is comfortable and good support both. I did add a pair of Copper Fit Balance insoles after a week for more supprt. Most people would maybe not need to do that. After 40 years working on my feet, I’ll take the extra insole help. Very good boot!

the boot overall is pretty comfortable although it seems too rounded at the steel toe area, very little arch support (but I use arch support inserts anyway) I am not sure if I would not buy this boot again for the simple reason that it seems a little big for my narrow foot and its a little higher than I like at the ankle area!

I bought this boot partly because I needed it for a new job that requires but does not mandate safety-toed footwear. I have to pass through a metal detector at work so a composite toe was necessary. This boot met my requirements (black, comp toe, pull tab at the heel) and is from a reputable company. The boot broke in very easily and has performed to my satisfaction. Unfortunately, after several months of wear, they have developed a squeak. I'm not sure where it's coming from aside from the left boot. It doesn't matter what surface I'm walking on, but it seems tied to my normal gait. I can prevent the squeak if I try to but that disrupts my normal walking rhythm. I'm still wearing them but am looking for alternatives.

I wear a size 12. These fit perfect. Very good heel fit! Which one doesn't always think about. Really a good fit, I have almost no arch, and wide feet, so these were pretty amazing fit. However, that said. because of the 3 eyelets, it looks much more like a dress show and not a deck or boat shoe. They are also a little stiff and heavy. If you do want a casual dress shoe .. these would be idea. :)

Very bulky and heavy boot. Not at all what I expected from Rockport. Composite toe feels very bulky and restrictive.

This was exactly the style I wanted, however the steel toe is very hard/stiff/uncomfortable and the shoe seems to run at least a half size too big, so unfortunately I am returning them. Very disappointed they won't work for me.

Well made shoe... but too heavy for me. I like a lighter weight shoe.. Very traditional... an alternative to a Bass Weejun.

The photo is misleading. I was looking for a comfortable casual loafer and didn't give much thought to the part of the description that said "steel toe." When you have the shoe in your hand, it is far heavier and more bulky that it appears in the picture. And, as one looking for a steel toe would hope, it has no give in the forefoot. This is a great shoe for a woman who needs a protective shoe on the job or for recreational activities but wants something that isn't a work boot. For me, it was heavy and bulky and the toe box felt cramped. Since I don't need the steel toe, I'm returning it.

The part about the steel toe in the description didn't register until I had it on my foot. The shoe was comfortable but clunky. I don't think I realized that as a work shoe, the toe box was not going to flex at all. If you need to guard against people or things crushing your toes, this will do the job and be very comfortable and pretty stylish. If you want something that you can break in and have conform to your foot, look elsewhere.

Not true to size. Always wear 10.5 W. These shoes are a half inch too long, Would walk out of them. Too bad as they are exactly what I was looking for.

These shoes were advertised as a women's size 6, but they are really a men's size 4. They were wider and chunkier than I thought they would be.

This is a great shoe. I travel around and visit a lot of ships during overhauls and try to pack lite. I can use it for work then wear it as a casual and only pack one pair of shoes.

Be averse that these boat shoes have steal-toes? Right it cut my toes
