Ria and Yiouri Augousti began as fledgling designers with the shared desire to create an innovative collection of furniture and home accessories that bore their name. To the Augousti’s, this aspiration proved to be more than just a business. “It is our life, our love and our passion,” boasts Yiouri. The R&Y Augousti label was established in 1990. Fueled with the success of their furniture and home accessories line, R&Y Augousti recently launched a collection of handbags. Their attention to detail has paid off in just one season; their first spring collection blew out of department stores. The handbags combine vintage leather with natural textures, like eel and shagreen. The result: a casual, exotic bag with a subtle touch of luxury.
