The padding felt like a huge, bulky diaper. I have other Pearl Izumi items but these just did not hit the mark. However if you seek bulky padding, order up as they do run a size small.

After trying way too many cycling shoes (most too small, 1 pair too big) these fit perfectly. I have a small, wide-ish foot and there is room to move my toes which is important. My feet don’t get too hot as they would if my toes were squished. For reference, I wear a 6.5 in running shoes and I am a 37 in these.

I love these. I just switched from non-recessed cleats and these are so much more convenient. I now put them on in the locker room and walk to the spin studio whereas before I wore crocs between the two rooms. They are great on the bike as well.

Compared to my other Pearl Izumi V5 road cycling shoe, that are the same size, these felt much roomier. The profile around ankle is lower in comparison as well. Very comfortable to ride in, side by side these are wider and SO much easier to walk in.

I wear a size 9 and I found these to be to long and too wide. I wish they had half sizes, I’m afraid a 40 would be too small. I find it does impact my stride when I pull up. It doesn’t feel secure.

I followed the advice on from others and sized up. I am 5'4" 125lbs and usually wear 4-6/small and a medium fits me comfortably. The padded seats makes my rides super comfortable and I'm already planning on ordering a second pair!

These shoes fit true to size for me. I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 42 (I even measured my feet according to the manufacturer website). I do have more narrow feet, but they should still fit an average width well - I just pull the velcro really tight to get a secure fit when I am clipped in. I did order these to fit my peloton - I bought the clips from the Peloton site and they installed easily to the shoe. I've already done several rides in the Quest shoe no problem.

I wanted bright, flashy bike shoes, and I got them! My feet always hurt on rides longer than 40 miles, but these shoes are comfortable and adjustable. The closures are velcro, so I can loosen them on-the-fly, and there's no worrying about laces coming untied.

I'm sorely disappointed in these shorts. I received them in the mail, put them right on, and went out for a quick 16 mile ride to test them out. I ordered my street size (I usually size up to XL in this brand) Large - I'm 5'10", 150lbs. The shorts fabric has nearly no compression, so I had to roll up the legs to get them to stay put. The sticky band at the hem does zero good, but my worst complaint is the chamois. The construction is so disappointing...just a wide, single zig zag stitch to hold it in place. WHAT?? I plan on getting around 2-3 quality rides in these before they fall apart. The chamois shape is oversized but not well constructed nor placed well within the short, so it ends up looking like a large bum-diaper from the back. Honestly, these were no better than the worn out and very old Pearl Izumi shorts they were purchased to replace. If you're serious about your cycling mileage and comfort, look elsewhere for a quality short. Sorry I cannot return, because I would in a heartbeat.

I love Pearl Izumi bike shorts but I didn’t realize how SHORT this pair is (which I totally would have if I’d taken two seconds to look at the description that is in bold face type). I’m going to keep them even though I personally prefer a longer inseam. They are comfortable and well made and I only use them inside on my spin bike. If you like the short inseam you will like these shorts. Just pay attention to what you are ordering before you hit the buy button:)

If you're in between sizes like me, size down. I am usually 8.5-9 in running shoes/all training shoes. To be honest, I usually go for the 9s unless they are Nike flyknits because those tend to fit a big larger because of the material. With these cycling shoes, if you are a 1/2 size I would highly recommend sizing down. Since these lack 1/2 sizes, I ordered a 9 after reading the other reviews, tried them on upon arrival and they were too big, not snug enough for riding and would stretch when used overtime. I sized down to an 8 and they are MUCH better in the heel but, even with the 8s I will choose to wear them with thicker rather than thinner socks. I hope this helps some of you! Overall, beautiful shoes and very quick shipping and easy returns with Zappos.

These are the best padded bike shorts i’ve ever found! They go up high enough to hide any kind of muffin top, and they also fit nicely under shorts or riding skorts because of the shorter length. Now you just need to make them in another color!

This particular item fit better than the XS for me - 5'4 107lbs...the other just too "perfect" of a fit - not much other layering would fit under BUT this particular jacket stunk of someones cologne...back it goes for a "clean" one.
