Snug compression, but not too night. Could use a little more grip around the waist (I am not skinny). Thick, comfy chamois. Expensive, even with the discount.

I bought these to use with my Peloton bike and they have been great so far. They are very sleek and not bulky at all. They are very breathable. The back is definitely stiff at first so if you don't wear thicker/higher socks you might get a blister. Not sure how long it takes to loosen up, mine haven't yet. Not a deal breaker though as are still pretty comfortable over all. The sizing chart is definitely off. I wear a 9 sometimes 9.5 and a 41 fit me perfectly. The sizing chart recommends a 39-40.

I originally ordered a 41 because my last Pearl Izumi were 41 however these were too small. Reordered the 42 and they fit. Also ordered some SPD cleats from Amazon now I'm good to go spinning!!

I wear a size 8 medium and some narrows. I have a moderate arch and need a neutral to under pronated foot bed. I have several Pearl Izumi articles of clothing and always buy a large top. Given that, I went for the 8.5 (40) size. The straps allow for a good fit and there is plenty of toe box room. I wear medium weight socks. They are comfortable to stand and walk in without feeling "too big". I'm so pleasantly surprised that these work for me. I plan to leave cleats off and use them for my "regular" pedals on my second bike. I have been down the cycling trail in my trail running tennies and it wasn't pretty. In my opinion, it is worth your foot health to always wear a fiberglass and or nylon reinforced shoe when cycling.

I'm a true size 7 1/2 and the 39 fit great. The first time I tried them on, they felt sort of stiff, especially the tongue. But after walking around in them for an hour and then a bike ride, they broke in great. So if they feel a bit stiff at first, they'll likely break in. This is the second pair of Pearl Izumi cycling shoes in size 39 I've had. They are pretty spot on in size, so if you're close to a size 8, you might want to size up.

We ordered a size 43 (I'm usually a size 10.5, give or take), but it was much too small, so we ended up getting a size 45 (fit just right). Zappos was great on the exchange - no grief, prompt shipping, and cheerful customer service (as per usual). I have used the shoes three (3) times now, and found them to be great (the cleats were also easy to assemble). The shoes really give you a full range of motion, and activate more of your calf and hamstring muscles than simply wearing your gym shoes and saddling-up. They also look good. I do find the shoes with cleats on to sit somewhat higher (when standing on level ground) than other spin shoes I have worn, but that has not been an issue for me. The shoes do require some attention when putting them on to ensure that the slip (the top part of the shoe) isn't tangled, but it's no big deal, and should realistically be expected with this type of shoe. I have not had any issues with that quirk. Overall, a great shoe that makes you want to keep spinning, and going harder.

I am a true size 6 across the board but Pearl Izumis usually runs small. I initially ordered a size 38 (I have 2 other PI cycling shoes size 38) but it felt half a size larger and it was digging on my ankle so I returned it and ordered a 37 hoping it would fit better. The fit was definitely better (It did not feel narrow and the support was fine) but the pinch on my ankle was still there. I wore thick and thin socks (and walked around) but it did not feel any better. My heart whispered perhaps it just needed to be broken-in or stretched (it was really cute and the colors matched my bike) but my head screamed that cycling shoes should fit out of the box. Needless to say my head prevailed. It's going back. I'm so bummed.

I typically wear 10.5 or 11 depending on the brand. I initially ordered the size 45, as sizing on this website equated it to a US 10.8. When I received them, the box said US 10.5/EU 45. They were just a bit too snug, so I ordered the 46. They fit perfect. I thought I'd relay this in case anyone else was relying on the conversions listed here.

These run a bit small and narrow. The shoe has two Velcro straps. Other cycling shoes I have worn have a top strap that easily comes undone to get the foot in and out. This one makes getting the shoe on an off a bit difficult.

I am 5-2 and slim build but just couldn't make this outfit work for me. The pattern is pretty but the material is uncomfortably high compression. Maybe if I was flat chested I could successfully wear this top. I tried the medium and large sizes.

Love the length on these biking shorts. Pearl Izumi makes great shorts for biking. The sizing has changed a bit. I have purchased several pairs in the past of this same short and had to go up a size this time. My weight has not changed so that’s not the reason for going up in size. Highly recommend this short for biking.

The shoe ships with cleat screws but they are too short for off the shelf Shimano SM-SH51 SPD's. I estimate you'll need 19 mm of thread. This is a frustrating oversight.

Best cycling shoe ever! I tried on several and they all felt tight, width wise. They feel like they are hugging my feet. They have excellent padding where most cycling shoes you can feel the metal support. I love these and expect to get many miles out of them as they are made really well and they are actually very stylish too which is a plus!

I have wide feet and so finding cycling shoes that fit is always a challenge. My goal was to find a pair that was pretty stiff, since I do mostly road or gravel riding, not so much trails. I also wanted something that would accept SPD and allow me to walk around easily when not on the bike. Finally, I wanted to be comfortable. These hit all three. My feet aren't cramped inside, they aren't as stiff on the sides as other biking shoes and they breathe pretty well so far. It's spring, so I don't know how these will be when it gets really hot. Only ridden a couple of times with them but I'm very happy so far. Oh, I did purchase one size up from what I'd wear in street shoes. That seems pretty common across the board for me and cycling shoes.

Weird fit on this one. I wear an XS in everything, and even the size S was tight around the hips, while being large in the chest and shoulders. Also the stand up collar was a little stiff and seems like it would irritate on a long run. Going back.
