I have five OR face masks now, and grab one or two whenever they go on sale, now that we're firmly in the dystopian present and masks are how we live in it. I bought a few at first because of the recommendation that they were the best at preventing fogging eyeglasses, and I've found that's accurate. The wire nosepieces, along with the fact that these masks best fit my man-face, are outstanding at making a seal and venting my breath downward to my jawline as opposed to up past my nostrils into my lenses. The curved profile is also very cool as far as masks go, so I don't feel awkward wearing these no matter how I'm dressed. They also seem to be built like a proverbial tank and are relatively easy to clean.

The rave reviews are mystifying -- sure the cover is lovely and the ear loops are adjustable...but the main selling point for my husband -- a professor -- was the filter! Alas, it's a good idea, but SO poorly executed -- the filter slides around, is not secured at the top at all and is just too loose for comfort/safety. We bought 5, not realizing there is a NO RETURN policy, even for the 4 that are still sealed in their pouch. What a shame.

These are lighter than a cotton mask which makes them a nice mask for exercising. I wear this one biking. I have a fairly small face and it fits me nicely. The green is a really nice color.

The looks, fit and form of the mask are great. It also has adjustable tension which helps customize the fit. The MAJOR downside is the whole filter system. The filters don't stay put in the mask and will just wad up and annoy your mouth and nose. And if it's all wadded up and moving around is it serving it's purpose? No. Needs snaps or something to hold the filter in place It's currently just not designed well enough to be functional.

I got these masks for the kids to wear to school and the filters don't stay in them at all. They're always falling out and the kids are constantly having to touch them and fix them. I ended up getting different masks that hold filters between cloth so they're not having to mess with them all day. I do like the ear loops for the kids but not the ones for the adults.

I may look a bit dorky in this hat but it seems perfect for the sun protection I’m looking for. I also have a massive head and thankful for the large sizing (I got size XL). It’s so awful being in the heat when your hat is too tight.

Another great Outdoor Research hat. I wanted a second Outdoor Research Solar Roller Hat, but it was out of stock. I purchased this one instead although the Solar is more stylish. Glad I did. The brim is wider in the back than the front and definitely protects my neck from the sun. I hand wash it in tepid water and let it drip-dry after rolling it in a hand towel to remove excess water. Both styles are fold-able, pack-able. The Sombrero is larger and more substantial due mostly to the brim. Really blocks the sun. Great for walks, hikes, and gardening.

I lost my much loved old seattle sombrero on my last work trip to Alaska; ordered a replacement and am very dismayed that the new one does not have the slick velcro cinch band, even though the instruction card that came with it still tells you how to adjust that. I've always loved the comfort and versatility of this hat, and the precise fit was a big part of that - I could put it on in the morning and spend the day working in windy rain, and it wouldn't budge. Sure it's got a chin strap - but since the hat is very large even on my big melon, I worry it will be shifting around a lot. Appears they removed the fitting band but left it very large as if it would still have one - many of their hats barely fit me at all but this is sloppy, so folks with normal-size noggins might want to go down a size now. It's a shame when formerly well-thought-out OR gear loses some of its most distinguishing and useful features, but it seems to be a trend.

I bought this mask because of the rants and raves from just about everyone. I have very sensitive skin (probably more than most), and for me, both the mask and filter material irritate my skin after long periods of use, and the ear loops become uncomfortable. Specifically, the bridge and tip of my nose, and cheeks were very irritated after a full day of use. I have to wear a mask all day for work and had to make some modifications to it yesterday: I made some elastic loops that go around the back of my head, and placed some additional soft material inside to alleviate the itchiness of the filter. Too bad- I really wanted to jump on the bandwagon. If I didn't have sensitive skin, I could see this being a 5-star mask. It ticks all the boxes otherwise: breathable but protective, adjustable, looks cool.

I'm a high school teacher and after trying a wide range of masks, I can tell you this is it, this is the one. It fits comfortably, it's flexible, and by the end of the day, the adjustable ear straps don't leave my ears sore. Most importantly for me, the design of it gives me plenty of space to talk often throughout the day without rubbing up against my lips, fogging up my glasses or slipping and sliding around. The coverage is great and provides good protection without being suffocating or breezy either. The color selection is great too. They compliment any outfit, aren't distracting and look clean, professional. These masks are also easily my choice for lifting at the gym with a mask on, running errands, or going out and having a mask handy in case I need it. The optional filter insert gives additional protection if desired. As someone fully vaccinated, I feel comfortable with this mask without the filter insert for virtually all settings. Only if I had to go to a large setting (like 500+ people) would I personally choose to switch to a KN95. I have ordered 7 more as we return to school to have more than enough to get me through a mask a day for a week or so and add some more colors into the mix. Again, look no further, this is the best all-around mask out there.
