Native Eyewear

Native Eyewear Logo
Native Eyewear caters to the adventurous spirit and supports a desire to stray from the beaten path with a flourishing line of performance and lifestyle sunglasses. Native is a brand that is known for premiere lens technology, across-the-board polarization, lightweight frame construction and frame details that deliver unrivaled comfort.
Beginning in 2016, Native began a partnership with The 5 Gyres Institute, a non-profit dedicated to finding solutions for a plastic-free ocean. The partnership sought to move away from using petroleum-based plastics and instead using castor-based resins and recycled materials. This effort extends past gear as Native shifts to utilize recycled cardboard in all packaging, and their goggle line will arrive in The Fort goggle case, a functional and reusable storage solution that can be used for toting smaller necessities and outdoor gear. It’s with this in mind that you’re encouraged to pursue adventures with the best gear, the right companions, and a free spirit, tempered only by an enduring respect for the world that is your playground.
Native’s N3™ lens technology blocks up to 4x more infrared light compared to competitor products. Eyes are further protected by reducing the amount of heat that reaches the eyes. Your eyes are kept cool, comfortable, and protected all day. Also blocked are harmful UV and blue light rays, leaving only a crisp, contrast-enhanced view. Most performance models include a SportFlex lens kit. The SportFlex lens is designed to enhance contrast and reduce glare in low-light conditions, including overcast and haze situations, as well dawn and dusk.

Got these as a back up pair to my Maui Jim’s and find myself wearing these more. Great look, awesome fit and fair price.

My husband wasn't crazy about the riding across the top, it's more noticeable in person. He found the glasses a little tight in the nose area and just didn't look as good in person. He was comparing them to the Under Armor and the Oakley's (which won out).

I got these (in Desert Tort/Green Reflex) for running. I had tried several other brands and models before, but this is my Holy Grail of running sunglasses finally. Took them right out of the box for a 6 miler in the bright sun and they were amazing. No slipping, no fogging, clear vision, comfortable, look good - worth the price. I have a smaller head so they may not work for bigger heads.

Love these in green. Tired of the same old name brands and ended up with a better pair of sunglasses and kept $100 in my pocket to boot.

I love Native sunglasses. High quality at a reasonable price. The warrant is exceptional. Theses glasses are a bit narrow. They fog easily. Heavy. Not Natives wheelhouse, but still better than most alternatives.

Exactly as stated in description and pictures. Wonderful fit, not too tight. Very pleased with the quality of the lens and clarity.

Very pleased with these sunglasses. I only buy $100+ sunglasses every year or two so I am very particular about quality, look, feel etc. These have a really nice style while not sacrificing comfort. I was attracted to the look and the fact that they have discrete padded nose rests. After wearing them for a few days I'm really impressed with the lenses. They are superb. The "N3" polarized lenses are more crisp and clear than other polarized lenses that I've had. I'm really happy with them.

I bought these after losing my pair of Native Copas. I wanted to change up the style since I'd been wearing those for years. The Kodiaks are awesome - they're light, stay in place (even on top of your head!), and have great clarity and classic styling. The best part of any Natives is the warranty. Scratch 'em, break 'em, wear 'em out and they'll replace them for a nominal fee. I've taken advantage of this several times and it's saved me hundreds of $$$.

Love. Was a Smith Fan for years, then tried Costas. I really find the Native Kodiak to be so superb. I am terrified to wrench on the lens enough to switch lenses. But I can do anything and they stay on and up. I also love them on the tractor, the bridge adds to keeping dust out of my eyes.

I have used these glasses for boot camp, running and exercising as well as skiing and they work perfectly. The side vents help with fogging and the glasses also provide some protection from the wind.

Went to Zappos to buy some shoes for overseas trip, then ended buying luggage and computer items along with a new pair of sunglasses. I have a rather large head and have issues sometimes finding reading glass's that fit. These glasses are perfect for driving, comfortable, and great in bright sun. I was able to drive through the Alps with no squinting, highly recommend and as always nobody comes close to Zappos whether it be product or service. They in my opinion set the standard of service that I hope my company can one day achieve.

I ordered about 8 pairs of polarized glasses - and I chose to keep these. They were by far the lightest and had the best coverage. I am considering ordering a 2nd pair. My eyes relaxed the second I put them on and the color of my surroundings was not skewed. I love them!

Fantastic sunglasses. I almost went with Oakleys, but opted for the Natives at the last second - I feel like with the Natives more of my money goes to the quality of sunglasses and less to the brand name. These are very light and very strong. They're so light and comfortable that I often forget I'm wearing them, and I've sat on them more than a few times with no damage. The nose pads and mastoid grips are amazing - if you're one of those people who constantly push your glasses up your nose, the first few weeks are going to feel pretty weird when they stay exactly where you put them for hours at a time, even during heavy activity. And last but not least, the optical quality is amazing. I can't think of a reason to be disappointed with these sunglasses.

Fit is pretty good unless you wear a sports cap. Maybe it's just me, but the way the frame fits on the ear causes the nose rest to lift just enough off the face to be annoying. Also, the little "air circulation" vents on the top on the lenses causes reflection if you don't have a sports cap on. Also a bit annoying until you get used to them. Not worth the price I paid.
