Lakai

Lakai Logo
Lakai® has been built around grass roots tradition since day one. In 1993, Mike Carroll and Rick Howard thought they might have a better formula for a skateboard company--- one that made products the team would be proud of and kept an atmosphere that was supportive and motivating. While it was a risk, they felt like they owed it to skateboarding and skateboarders to take that risk. In 1999, facing a similar situation in respect to footwear, Mike and Rick introduced Lakai Limited Footwear with the same dedication and pride they have always invested into their skateboarding and the Girl/Chocolate brands. Simply stated, they are “The Shoes We Skate”. Lakai shoes are the epitome of style, comfort and functionality.

You will not find a better selection of skateboard shoes than Lakai. Lakai has something for everyone from their industry collaborations to their pro model styles and color ups. Lakai shoes and Lakai clothing have changed the game and are here to stay.

I really like the shoe especially the style they seem very well made but very narrow for me but I have pretty wide feet so could very well be comfortable for someone with smaller feet that's my only issue and will be sending them back due to being narrow not for quality these shoes are well made

usually I opt for a size 7 Mens in most brands I encounter however in this case I went with a size 7.5 and they fit great. I’m assuming they run a tiny bit small but I could be wrong? they feel comfty and are very understated in appearance which is what I was aiming for. The color scheme is neutral as understated aswell which I love

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Looks really good, better alternative to chucks/vans. NOT for wide feet, I have narrow feet and it fits just right.

2021 April, this size 14 Griffin fits my 13.5 wide foot. It fits a hair shorter, yet slightly wider in the toe, then all the other Lakais I've tried on, which is almost all of them. Similar to the NewBalance 379 & 306, which is the only shoe that fits me dead on. Very happy about this. Finally another option.

2021 April, just ordered the Manchester and the Griffin at the same time. The Manchester fit pretty much like the rest of the lineup, with that new sole. Sizing is similar to the Emerica brand. True to length, and more narrow then the wider fit Lakai used to be back in the day. (the Griffin fit was a little wider and seemed a tad shorter in the toe.) These do not fit like the super small & narrow nike/new balance stuff, and more like the classic sk8 fit that's been narrowed, if that makes any sense. Overall, great looking and feeling shoe. Strong construction.

I really like these shoes. They are comfortable and look great. I’m new to skateboarding and these are my first skate shoes. I was just skating with my Saucony Jazz sneakers before and these Lakai shoes are much better...much more sole contact with the board and plenty of rubber for stopping.

If you like the style of Vans but find them too narrow and lacking support you will love Lakai sneakers. I have them in every color and style. They are the best sneakers out there today!

First of all - the shoes look great. BUT, I am a size 12 shoe and have never had any issues with needing "wide" shoes or having shoes in my size feel too narrow. The sole/base of the Lakai Cambridge is not shaped proportionately for a size 12 foot. See the image for reference when compared to the (VERY worn) Supra Stacks Vulc II in size 12 - notice that width of the Lakai is virtually the same from the back to the front of the shoe. I've never met a human being that has a forefoot that is the same width as their heel. This makes the Cambridge VERY loose in the back half of the shoe and restrictively tight in the forefoot. Maybe they make a size wide but this is enough to make me look elsewhere. No way I can skate in these.

Very pleased! Light. Stylish. Comfy. Durable suede/canvas upper. Sturdy sole. Tongue is nicely padded. Bought these mainly for work, but they go with everything I wear. First experience with the Lakai brand. Based on other reviews, I went a half size smaller and they fit perfectly!

These run true to size for sure. I'm a 13.5, and the 14s were too long, so I couldn't keep em, but I REALLY wanted to. The sole is amazing. It kinda feels like a vulc, cause of the shape, but it's for sure a cup. It's not a big cupsole either, and it's not too thin. The grip felt seriously amazing, as I stood on my board. I got the Emerica Low-vulcs at the same time (Reynolds), which I'm keeping because they are more narrow in the toe and fit me better, but I wanted these Atlantic way more. The sole felt much softer, with more cushion, but same board feel. The upper construction was a little on the lighter side, compared to the Emerica, but was still good. Overall, I give alot of credit to Lakai for this shoe. Hope people are liking it. Maby I'll be a size 14 eventually.

I get the most compliments on my blue/gum/suede Cambridge’s, but I have 3 pairs in different colors. These feel maybe a 1/4 size large but are otherwise really comfortable. They skate well also.
