I generally wear 9.5-10. I have another style of La Sportiva in 10 and was happy to find that these fit as well.

Despite being a beautifully fitted shoe, the sole is rigid (best for climbing) but he wanted something for both outdoor and climbing... he's only 11, so he went with one from Columbia. I thought they looked great.

I bought these for my husband for our Grand Canyon trip and he felt very comfortable with it. We have visited several different shoe stores to find the right shoes with lots of arch support and we picked this one at the end. The black one looked hideous so we had to buy the red color online at zappos

I like this shoe for hiking on trails, however I intended to use these as trail running shoes. When I run in these, it hurts my feet. I'm used to Hoka One One running shoes which have lots of cushioning. This shoe hurts my shins, my knees. It feels like the support/cushioning I need for running just isn't what I was hoping for. If I could return them, I would. If you want these for just walking around, hiking on trails, they'll be great.

I bought my first pair of these shoes in 2005. I just bought the grey version, but I am still wearing the ones I bought in 2005. If you want a hiking, rock climbing, around the town, sporty shoe, this is the one. The leather upper stretches over time to give the best support in a shoe possible and the rubber soles have stood up to 14 years of abuse. They are almost perfectly smooth. Is, but still have grip.

I have difficulty finding shoes that fit me well. I have a wider forefoot, and a narrow heel, which makes hiking, running shoes very tricky to fit well. These were perfect out of the box. They are very adjustable in the forefoot/instep and the hell was nice and snug. After wearing them in the house for an hour or so to test- I went for a quick 3 mile hike. They were amazingly comfortable, supportive and provided great stability.

The La Sportiva Wildcat is one of the best running/hiking shoes out there. I have large feet for a woman (I normally wear a women's 11) and ordering these in a men's size was necessary after they made the women's sizes smaller. I have these same shoes in an earlier version in the women's 11 (a 43) and they fit nicely. To update, I had to go up to a 44 and order a men's version. These shoes are light, very stable and supportive, and snug through the heel and arch with a wide roomy toe box. Exactly what I want in a trail shoe. I can fully spread my toes while the rear of the shoe is snug and very stable. I used these shoes for backpacking, running and trail running and they do well for all three. I just took them for a run/walk in deep, wet slush and my feet were warm and dry. And absolutely GREAT all-around shoe.

These appear to be well made shoes. However, the toe box was too narrow for my feet; and I have narrow feet. I ordered a size larger but that didn’t help. I intended to use these for hiking, but the toes are just too cramped. Too bad because they are nice looking shoes.

the previous reviewers are right: Americans, order a full size larger. That said these are perfect for my narrow feet and a killer trail shoe, especially for mixed rock / dirt, roots, single track conditions. don't waste them on pavement. I expect they'll wear fast that way.

I used to have a pair of La Sportiva running shoes about 10 years ago. I couldn't find the same light weight style, so I tried these. The size is good, the fit is taking some time to break in. I bought these for work and to do a little running. They are light weight and look nice. I would recommend them.

After wearing Keen Utility shoes to work for many years, I’ve started to need a little more cushioning in my older age. These are so comfortable! My knees appreciate extra bounce and the feeling of walking on air. The only downside is that they’re not as slip resistant as I hoped. On our wet tile floor, I’m ice skating!

The size recommended by Zappos turned out to be perfect. A bit on the roomy side allowing me to wear thicker socks. The shoe seems sort of cumbersome but is surprisingly flexible to move in. My foot is wide in the toe area and has a skinny heel - no problem with this shoe.

Only those with narrow feet need apply. I prefer a wide shoe but can often wear a medium. It depends on the manufacturer. But these shoes, no. They are billed as medium, but they are not. I tried going up yet another half size (they run small as well) but that did not help at all with the width issue. So, can't wear them -- but I sure would have loved to because they are well made and have a sole made out of a material that I think would have been great on slippery surfaces, rocks, etc. Nice looking too. The cushioning seemed very good as well. Oh well, back to my search. Hey La Sportiva, how about making shoes that fit the rest of us?
