The size and fit were snug that's ok they will loosen up as they brake in, BUT they are not oil resistance souls got oil on souls all most fell on my ass there like walking on ice. other than that there great.

The boot seems well made and is nice looking. It felt too narrow and I usually wear a wide, which is what I ordered. I would try a size wider, but on the inside, just above my left ankle the was immediately a sore spot. The lump caused by the seam that attaches the tongue (under the lining) just hit my foot wrong there, and it became sore right away. Did not want to risk that again. I am sad. I like the look of the shoe. I looks quality.

The best work boot I have ever worn. I’ve been in the workplace for 40 years and am currently a construction superintendent on my feet all day long over multiple surfaces. Truly an asset comparable to any tool onsite. These are comfortable out of the box and look great.

Amazingly comfortable right out of the box. True to size Superior quality product!

Solid built boot with a durable sole and good traction. Looks good too, it's pretty traditional with just a touch of modernness. I wish it had a slightly more supportive arch, that's the only issue I have feedback on. But I have only experienced that kind of arch support on boots 2x more expensive, so I am definitely happy with what I got for the price.

Awesome pair of boots and extremely comfortable! The first day I wore them for an 8 hour shift and were still comfortable a couple of hours later. I've only had them for a week and I love them. There's nothing like the stability of a wedge sole boot and the sole is ample wide. The laces are pretty cheesy, but functional. Lighter than most safety toe work boots out there. I tried them on at a Red Wing store because I hate ordering shoes thru the mail without knowing exactly how they will fit. I can absolutely see myself purchasing these boots again and would definately recommend them.

Best boots ever
Zappos Reviewer on May 29, 2020
This is the best review possible, because I bought these in October of 2016 and have worn them almost everyday since. I don’t baby them, I have a physical job and and active life. Occasionally I polish them. Now (May 2020) I signed into Zappos to rebuy them! There’s still a ton of life left in these old ones, and I’ll continue to hammer them...but I wanted a backup pair and, frankly, ones that look a bit nicer for a date night with my best gal! The leather has been tough as nails, the soles still have tread, the steel toes haven’t dented (and I routinely drop big heavy things onto my toes on purpose using them as a lifting aid). No threads have busted. Really, these boots are one of the best footwear purchases I’ve ever made!

It is a size smaller than marked. Ever boot or shoe I owns is 11.5. Not these.

I just tried them on today and so faf so good! I am certainly hopefull as I have extreme difficulty finding a simple walking boot that fits.

Wish I could write a review but i haven't tried on the boots yet, cause ZAPPOS has poor quality control, I recieved the boots i ordered but no insoles...talk about customer service.

Very comfortable for my very wide foot.
Zappos Reviewer on May 10, 2020
The shoe seems wider than listed and the backs of the heels are hard as a rock, with absolutely no padding where your heel contacts the back of the shoe. I am on day five of trying to break these things in, but to no avail. They are only slightly more comfortable. My Red Wing 9" Loggers were easier to break in than these. I'm hoping the problems go away, but right now I am in serious pain. Any insights here would be appreciated. I am attaching a photo of the vastly different heal configuration between my old Red Wings and my new Irish Setters.

This Boot was a beauty coming out of the box. Great color , nice leather, great look. When I put the boot on it was a little snug. So I figured I have to break them in a day a so. I’ve worn them three days and I can’t take it anymore. I’ve worn a 13 medium since 9th grade . This boot size is cut small and doesn’t fit to size. I love Zappos but I can’t send them back because I’ve worn them. I’m out of $171.00 . If you order these beautiful boots get them a size bigger.

I bought these to replace my irish setter ely 83400. Those are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I like the drifter design and it is very light but they run very small and very narrow. I ordered the same size as all my other irish setter boots but these are way to narrow and a bit to short as well. I look forward to getting a size that fits. I ordered a 10.5 D width.

More comfortable than my running shoes, will definitely buy again.

Shoes were too narrow. 2e was not as wide as other 2e Shoes. That I purchased from Zappos, will return for another pair.

great boot. Insole insert kind of sucks, but all else is great. High quality boot.
Zappos Reviewer on April 28, 2020
these run a little narrow, but I had the same experience with my danners so maybe my feet are a little wide. They were super stiff at first but broke in after a week or two and I ware them 10 hours a day, five to six hours a day on a hard surface. I walk six to 9 miles a day and my feet are not sore by the end of the day. They are very structured and supportive (which I love) and are holding up well after 2 months of heavy indoor construction use.

Will buy again

I usually take a 14D in a boot but tried the 13EE for this boot because they were out of the 14s. It worked! These feel comfortable right out of the box. The toe box is high enough that my crooked toes have ample room. I replaced the laces because they were way too long. I wear these for office work but would have preferred a black-colored sole. I would also wear these for travel but the steel shank sets off detectors.

One of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had.
Zappos Reviewer on March 28, 2020
The back edge of the steel toe can irritate your toes and the sole wore down too quickly. Overall they were comfortable but the insert didn't last long enough.

[Disclaimer: I’m writing this review after just wearing them around the house… I haven’t had them outside in the snow, worn them for months, etc.] These boots are amazing in pretty much every regard. I purchased seven (7) different slip-on boots, both high and low styles (Oboz Big Sky, Kamik Champlain, Merrell Moab Rover low & high, Keen Anchorage III (which I also love and am keeping, for a low, North Face Chilkat III Low (which I’m also keeping for a low “duck” boot) These Irish Setters have amazing fit, snug and comfortable, no heal slippage at all, insulated, insulated, waterproof, a snug top (not super wide top like some slip-ons), relatively easy to pull on, awesome sole, rubber toe, safety toe (but not metal, which is good!) and they look super awesome! They’ve just exceeded my expectations enormously. They are pricey at $179
