Icebreaker Logo
Inspired by nature, icebreaker harnesses the performance qualities of natural fibers to make simple, beautiful, high-quality clothing. Merino naturally resists odors, keeps you cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s not, and lets your skin breathe for comfort all day, every day. Annually renewable, merino fiber offers an alternative to synthetic clothing based on petrochemicals.

Founded in New Zealand in 1995 by Jeremy Moon, icebreaker pioneered the ethical and sustainable production of natural performance apparel. For 25 years, icebreaker has challenged the status quo in an industry dominated by synthetics. icebreaker believes that nature has the answers and aims to inspire and enable people to choose natural for their everyday lives.

Following the publication of its Transparency Report in 2018 and 2019, icebreaker was one of only a handful of brands to be awarded an A+ rating in the Tearfund Ethical Fashion report, two years in a row. The report found icebreaker to be excellent in every area, including scrutiny of policy, traceability, transparency, supplier relationships and worker rights at every stage of the production process.

These ran big on me 5'5" 129#, age 60...I usually wear a small or medium but these were much too roomy. Very nice quality and love the slim leg!

Size L is just right for my standard size 14 lower body and long legs and woman hips. I particularly like the classy cut of these pants, including the placement of the pocket, it's put just a bit further toward the front and center of the garment, instead of that awkward side seam location which tends to exaggerate curvy hips in an unflattering way. The feel of the wool took me a minute to get used to and if you have super sensitive baby skin you might not take to it -- wool is wool, no matter how fine the weave. But I wear these every single day as they are perfect for the northern New England coastal weather conditions I enjoy on a daily basis. Really ideal pants, good quality material and construction, and cute. Highly recommend.

This runs a bit small. I usually wear a 34C or 36C or medium. I bought both medium and large for this bra. The medium was too tight around my chest. The large fits perfectly, is really comfortable, and is my new favorite bra.

Best quarantine/work from home pants ever! I thought I’d be bothered by the elastic waist band, but it’s quite comfortable. I’ve gone for 20 degree walks in these, shoveled, and worn them as a base layer for snowboarding. Best ever! They keep you so warm and comfortable. Worth the money!

Love these! They are light weight and jogger-style. I’m 5’8”, 175lbs, I got a large (my usual pant size). They’re not fitted, but not too baggy either. Can’t wait to use these all year long!

I am 5’9” 150 lbs. slender build. I ordered the XL by the chart it was a perfect fit. This is my third icebreaker. I do a lot of backpacking in cold weather. This product is excellent for keeping you warm. Sometimes to warm. At 17* it was very comfortable at night. I only used my base layer to sleep in and socks. Highly recommend. It also looks good if you just want to wear it out with jeans.

That extra base layer to keep you warm working from home! I can def see wearing this tank with a hoodie and being super warm. I’m 5’6” 34B and the small is perfect, not too tight, just the right amount of close to my body to keep it warm!

Way more comfortable than their thong style. I wish it had a bit more coverage in the rear but comfy. 116lbs 5’6” 27ish inch waist and small was perfect!

I wanted to love these but, as others have mentioned too, the width of the crotch area is about 1/8” wide. That is way smaller than cotton thong underwear. Not comfortable and I was super irritated. These parties are an absolute no in my book! Their bikini cut is nicer and way more comfortable. Not sure I’m a fan of wool underwear, I feel like cotton is more breathable.

Great quality and see them as great lounge pants. Material isn’t as soft as Smartwool but the style and cut of the pants are amazing. 5’6” 115 athletic build and a small fit great. I have a short crotch, so low rise are my preference. These are def mid-rise so that area was a bit baggy. I’ll deal with it be the cut and quality of the pants are great!

I’m the person from a previous who had trouble with the band and had thought I’d have to sew it back. I never did need to. Second day of wearing it and am very happy. Great find. Natural materials and hookless, therefore no irritation in back.

Update on a happy review. The band in the front presses in on my breast bone. If I do keep this bra it would require sewing a loop to hold that elastic band up at a comfortable angle for anything other than a very upright position.

Great pants, very comfortable and not itchy. "Jogger"-style tapers down at the ankle, but not too much. I wear them around the house. I have about a 33-34 inch waist and got a large, which fits well. I like merino wool for the anti-odor properties; can wear them for multiple days without needing a wash. The only downside is the black color attracts pet hair!

What is advertised is not what I received. Icebreaker shifter pants have changed. The description matches the OLD version. What I received was an inferior NEW version. I own one pair of the old shifter pants and they are great. I wanted a backup pair. The new version is vastly inferior.

Just like any other Icebreaker product, it runs slim. If you love your lumps and bumps (or don’t have any), order your usual size. For a more relaxed and less stressful fit, order a size up. I wasn’t expecting this shirt to be so thin - it really is a base layer. Don’t let other reviews fool you into thinking you can wear this “dressed up”, unless you like looking like you are wearing long underwear in public. But if that’s the look you’re going for, well, this is a nice high quality garment to commit said atrocity. Better still, use it as a base layer in chilly weather. Like it’s meant for.

This neckline is perfect for me, for reference I have a long thin neck and hate floppy turtlenecks. This keeps its shape when unzipped too. The zipper is soft, flexible and super comfortable. I really prefer these over smartwool, even though they seem to be so similar. I have and wear both brands and really prefer these.
