Get a full size or more larger than you would normally. The Camden may feel like it's about to fall off at first, but (at least for me) they did not fall off as easily as they felt. I got about three years of very heavy wear out of these before the wool started wearing through and the sole began to crack. These are one of the very few sets of slippers that can fit an orthodic insole.

I love these slippers, however not long after I got them the string around the thread, that keeps them on snuggly, ripped, and since they come off easy. Wish there was a way to fix the issue.

Overpriced for what they are, houseshoes. Great arch support, but the insoles are suede, and thus when they get dirty, they are not washable. The shoes make my feet hot unless it is a really cold day and the house is also somewhat cold.

Really like this shoe! It's been a year of wearing this as my "bedroom shoe" around the house, and with the pandemic, I've been around the house a lot over the last year. This shoe still looks new and feels new. Great support. Highly recommend!!!

It looked good, it felt good, but.....the toggle pull cord broke in just a few months with not that much wearing actually. This is a poorly designed closing on this shoe. I would not recommend anyone purchasing it. BUT, this one breaking led me to the Camden shoe of the same maker and I love love love this shoe. After a year of wearing it very often, it's really like it's still new looking and feeling.

I do love these. The 4* in comfort is more of a ‘me’ problem, I think. I require more than good/moderate arch support. The fabric is nice, but if you are rough on shoes and would wear often I can see a possibility of wear issues.

I would have loved to give this five stars but the arch support, which is great, is in the wrong spot for me. I have worn Haflinger slippers/clogs for years and wanted something with a more flexible sole. These looked perfect but sadly I will be returning.

The fit was okay, but the bulky style was not flattering. Felt like a smoochy slipper.

I am on my 4th pair of these super comfortable, supportive slippers. I spend more on these than on my regular shoes and they make me feet feel ten times better. I will say that the sizing and the arch support of these slippers has changed between the last time I purchased a pair, roughly 3 years ago, and my most recent purchase. Where I used to buy a 36 in these I had to send the 36 back and go with 37. As I wear a US size 6.5 or 7 I would say these now run pretty true to size, whereas in the past they definitely ran a full size large. The arch support is still better than average but not quite what it used to be. Given the price tag I wish they lasted a little longer than 3 years, but I do wear them an awful lot.

Great fit and awesome support - but at over $100 they should last longer than 18 months. These are truly HOUSE slippers. We have tile floors, but they have NEVER been outside on rough concrete. Soles are wearing through at the heel (started 12 months in), and uppers are starting to wear through now as well. I had a cheap pair of German Christmas market slippers of the same style that lasted 4-5 years before wearing out. Granted the arch support wasn't anywhere close to these, but that's no excuse for them degrading like this. Very disappointed in the durability of these EXPENSIVE slippers. Not recommended unless you have money to burn.

I wore these at first as house shoes, but I managed to forget they were on my feet and wore them out to run errands. Now they’re a stylish shoe for dry cool days. I admit the sole is a firm material and a little noisy for wood floors.

These are incredibly comfortable and attractive shoes. I have some major foot issues (including pseudo hammer toes) in addition to a wide foot. Finding comfortable footwear is never easy. I ordered these in the size suggested by Zappos (38 - which frequently fits), but after reading the Innsbruck reviews, I also ordered a 39. The 39 fits perfectly, and the 38 was a bit too snug/short, so it's going back. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Best slippers I have ever owned. I wear them all year long, actually. Like the sole because I can wear them if I have to run outside. They have held up nicely and have had no issues with holes in toes.

I absolutely love these slippers! When you wear them they are so comfortable you forget they are slippers and you go everywhere in them. I am 66 years old and I’ve had many pairs of slippers. These are far beyond what I’ve had.

Very well made. The fit was so wide for me, that heels slip. Arch support would have been more effective if the width kept feet in place.

SO comfortable. Breathable, feet do not overheat. Supportive. Great traction. Easy to get in and out of. Cute style. These are my daily house shoes and when I come home I kick off whatever shoes I am wearing and get into these. Sometimes I wear these beyond the house because I don’t want to take them off, and they have that transitional type of style. My feet LOVE these shoes.

After suffering from excruciating planter fasciitis (BAD like I would at times use a cane because my feet hurt so much) for months and months I started researching slippers. I was so lucky I found these. I spend quite a bit of time home and these Giesswein’s have literally changed my life. I’ve had them for at least 3 years and my foot pain for the most part has disappeared and the slippers are high quality so I expect to have many more years of wear out of them. I also buy very supportive foot wear for outside. Another great shoe is Dansko’s Vibram. I would buy them again without questions.

I really have a problem keeping my feet out of these. Put on a pair of socks and they fit perfectly. In bare feet, they’re a smidge loose so no speed-walking or pivots. My arthritic knees and ice cold toes are thrilled!

Good investment! I wear these every day, most of the day and they have excellent support and don’t make my feet sweat. I can wear them with or without socks. Sizing is accurate. I wear a 9 or 9.5 and the 40 fits like a glove.
