Fluxus

Fluxus Logo
In 2007, Martin Paquette began his clothing line, Fluxus, which is derived from the Latin word fluere, which means ‘”to flow.” Inspiration comes from several sources, most notably the early '60s art movement of the same name. Fluxus was characterized by a heavy dose of Dadaist belief which promoted artistic experimentation blended with socio-political influences and a strong emphasis on change. Mixed media, poems, collages and performances were integral parts of this movement.

Fittingly, Fluxus apparel incorporates fluid movement, modern lines, and above all, artistic inspiration. Fluxus accentuates fashion through all forms of self-expression and each piece should be considered as a work of art with the avant-garde silhouettes, bold and sometimes quirky design, unique and abstract prints, and variety of textures.

Consider Fluxus a culmination and celebration of expression and everyday life, blending culture, reinterpreting philosophy, and mixing all of it with art resulting in styles that are both edgy and effortless.
