Filson
In 1897, C.C. Filson began outfitting prospectors headed for the Gold Rush with apparel and goods strong enough to contend with the toughest spots on Earth. Today, Filson is a global manufacturer, wholesaler, and retailer constantly developing new products to serve those who refuse to stay indoors.
With company headquarters located above its factory in Seattle, Washington, Filson remains committed to producing unfailing goods that live up to its founder’s promise of: “We guarantee every item purchased from us. No more, no less. Your satisfaction is the sole purpose of our transaction.”
C.C. Filson patented the Cruiser Jacket pattern in 1914. Though the patent has long since expired, the jacket remains the company’s flagship garment, which Filson continues to manufacture to their founder’s exacting standards at its Seattle factory. The Cruiser was originally offered in a heavy waxed cotton called Oil Finish Tin Cloth and thick Mackinaw Wool. Both fabrics remain central to their line today. Other core products include Oil Finish Tin Cloth Pants, Rugged Twill Luggage, and collections of garments and tools to outfit hunters, fisherman, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Filson is committed to manufacturing its goods at the factory best equipped to create products of the highest quality. Filson is proud to manufacture the majority of its products at its union factories in Seattle.
