I did not love the style of this shoe. The big problem for me however was the fact that it is too short for my longer second toe. I think a 1/2 size up would be too wide for my narrow foot. Therefore, this shoe just doesn't work for me.

I am obsessed with this bootie. I bought these for work (I work at a school) because they looked comfortable, warm enough for Colorado winters, simple, and like they would go with a lot of outfits. I was right on all counts. They've actually exceeded my expectations because I expected them to be so simple that they wouldn't catch anyone's attention. Not the case! I get compliments DAILY in these with people asking me what brand and where they can buy them. They look high end and outdoorsy at the same time which I love. Other reviewers said they are narrow at the ankle, which I guess is true, but I think that's important in a Chelsea style boot, otherwise, they would stretch out and look less streamlined. I don't have any trouble slipping these on and off with a sock. For reference, I am normally a size 6.5 in heels, flats, sandals, but I always size up to a 7 in sneakers and boots for a little room for socks and size variation. These fit great, with enough space for my toes to wiggle, enough support on my feet all day, and no chance of slipping on ice! I bought in black originally and I am now back to purchase in blue!

I love the style of these shoes, but they are just way too high for my middle aged self. I really wish El Naturalista would make these same shoes but in a 2" heel height instead of 3". I'm looking for stylish shoes that go with dresses but are still comfortable to walk in.

I had these for a few days and am still deciding if I will keep them. I like the color of the upper and the fit. They are not completely comfortable. I have had Angkor N959 for over a year and love them, so I hoped these would be as good. Unlike the leather lining of the N959, the N5470 have a fabric "loop" (not smooth) knit lining that I find slightly irritating to the skin. Leather lining is only in the toe and footbed. The knit lining feels hot while the leather lining is not. I imagine these will keep your toes cold in colder climate. I live in mild climate of coastal SC, where a non insulated ankle shoes are perfect for our winters. Lastly, I do not like the suede material on the exterior heel area. It is different from the rest of the exterior leather.

I'd been stalking these bad boys for months and finally pulled the trigger last week. As soon as they arrived, I was totally enamored; they looked even better on my feet than they did online. Sadly, however, I ignored the advice given by other reviewers and ordered my normal size (8). They weren't painfully small, but definitely did not fit as well as I would want them to. I'm returning them, and will be waiting with bated breath for the next size up to arrive back in stock.

These are great! They run small: I'm usually an 8.8 or a Euro 39, I had to exchange for a 40.

I ordered a size up because I wanted to wear them with no show socks. They fit perfectly and are great on days I have to walk and stand all day for work. They are a bit awkward to put on so I use a shoe horn which makes slipping them on much easier.

Very stylish shoe. Perfect size. I was not sure about this shoe as other reviews said they are too narrow and small, but I found it to be my perfect size, didn't have to size up at all. Bought them as a comfy all day flats for long conferences and events in the Spring so can't say if they are all day go shoe or not. But I walked in them in the apt and they felt very comfortable right out of the box.

I chose the Aquas over the Lichens because the Aquas worked a bit better with my foot - narrow with narrow heels. As well they are lace-ups. Both are attractive shoes (the Lichens maybe more because of the higher heel), both are suitable for work with pants and skirts. The deciding factor in both is definitely the removeable insole. When I replaced it with my insole it made the shoe more stable overall.

I really like how these look and the quality is evident but the sizing is off- too small. I’m consistently a size 39 in almost every shoe but if I reorder I’ll probably go up a full size. They were also narrower than I expected.

Love the look of this shoe/bootie, but it runs a bit small. I wish I'd ordered .5 size larger. Also, the upper part isn't very comfortable on the ankle. It seems like it hits at just the wrong place. I'll wear these and generally love El Naturalista shoes, but these are just slightly off the mark in terms of comfort/fit.

I am between a 10 and 11. Ordered the 11. They are a little big, but thick socks make that ok. My issue is I can’t remove the insole to put in an arch support. So when I put the arch support/orthotic on top of what’s there, it squashes my Bunion foot. Also, these suckers are pretty heavy and rugged- they look more like rain boots than fashion boots, and the leather while nice is not soft like the description.

It was actually a shock to see such bad reviews. I bought these shoes for traveling in Europe. I often have an issue purchasing shoes because I have a high arch and wider feet. I was pleasantly surprised that they were so easy to put on and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend you at least try them out, I understand they might not be for everyone, but they are hands down the perfect fit for me.

Love this design, but have two problems. One, European shoes for me always mean that the left one fits and the right one is too small. True here. I like these enough to buy two pair and use the larger on the left and the smaller on the right, hoping I can wear the smaller left in summer when I won't need socks. HOWEVER! These have ZERO arch support, which is not what I expect from this company…so I'll need to order inserts. So between buying two pairs of shoes and inserts, I'll be out about $360. Insane. And can they even be re-soled? No! It seems that compared to the old days, when shoes were repairable, we are all getting fleeced. Even one pair at $150 is pretty ridiculous, considering.

This is a great leather boot and well made for sure! There is no foot ball support and heel makes it harder as well. I bought from Walmart foot ball or metatarsal support insert and that surely helps. I wear this to work and got compliments and feels great. Not a walk at the mall boot as your foot will hurt especially fiod ball. On the whole it’s a keeper

These were even cuter than I expected from the photos. Sadly, they are too small for me at size 9 and there is no size 9 1/2 so I will be returning them. I almost never wear larger than a 9 as a 9 is usually a teensy bit big. I also have narrow feet - these were both a bit short and a bit narrow compared to other shoes this size.

This was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Easy to put on with leggings or skinny jeans and just go. I wore them right out of the box for a full day of running errands. I am very picky and this rarely happens for me. They appear to be great quality and should be very versatile. I can also remove the insoles and use my own (vionic) insoles if I choose. A little pricey but worth it to get exactly what I wanted.
