Very comfortable, supportive surprisingly lightweight and nice looking shoe. Great as a sneaker alternative in hot weather and for our planned island vacation.

I have been looking for a shoe that would compete with Mephisto all rounders, which are difficult to find and terribly expensive. Finally, after looking at at least a dozen shoes, I found the Ecco sports Terra 25!! This is the most comfortable shoe I have put on my feet in years. The three Velcro straps allow me to make the shoe fit very snugly on each foot. I'm completely happy with the issues and I'm going to order more, I only wish the colors were better.

This is a well made boot and a great concept. Unfortunately my foot just didn't like it. Not enough thickness to the sole under my foot and my foot bent in a place under the ball that hurt.

Apparently these are identical to sandals that Ecco on its website calls the Offroad. I have written to Ecco asking about the differences between the Yucatan Luxe (AKA Offroad) and the Yucatan. I will update this review if I receive an answer.

I had a pair of Yucatan sandals (not the Luxe) version, and they lasted 10 years. I'm looking forward to 10 more years with these. The only things I can't figure out are (1) the differences between the Luxe and regular versions -- the only observable differences are shinier leather and white, not black, stitching in some areas of the Luxe, and (2) why Zappos calls this model Yucatan while Ecco itself calls it Outback. Anyone with any insight on these weighty matters?

They fit great and look great. I wore them all over New Zealand on our recent trip and loved them.

These may be the highest achievement yet in the Ecco brand. For my foot, the Biom line is the most supportive and comfortable, and the Fjuel Train model adds nice styling to a training shoe. The yak leather is unbelievably soft, and it's durable. However it can be scratched, as I discovered when I went unexpectedly scrambling over some rocks. They're not hiking shoes. I can wear them comfortably all day, and they are cool and breathable even though they have a more substantial feel than fabric sneakers.

I normally love Ecco shoes, but this one came up short. Runs a bit small, but more importantly, it seemed flimsy. It's basically a hightop sneaker, and definitely not a hiking boot. Returning.

I love ECCO shoes. But this pair was too narrow even though it was the size that I usually order. Very disappointing

I would have given this a better overall score; however, there is one ironic problem. The shoes are Gore-tex but have almost zero traction when the soles are wet. I've almost slipped when my foot is on a chair rail and again, outside on a very shallow incline. I love Ecco shoes, but they really need to rethink the sole material for this shoe.

It's a nice shoe, but like so many other reviews say, it's a very narrow shoe; not at all a D width.

Being a long time customer of ECCO boots, sandals, and shoes, I was very disappointed with this pair of hiking boots. First, I don't like the color selection of NO BLACK hikers for women. Second, the light strip is awkward and makes the boots strangely large. Third, they are not comfortable through the arches, and break across my ankles in a painful manner. Sad my fabulous 10 year old ECCO boots could not be replaced. Please increase the selection of women's black (leather) hiking boots! Purchased a pain of Finn Tibet but they are men's sizing and VERY expensive! Appreciate Zappos. Simply the best overall selections and customer service

Quality leather and comfort. Unfortunately I could not get past the appearance of the toe area (reminded me of a platypus bill). It was easy to get on and off and I have high arches. It felt true to size but maybe a tad wide. Even though I couldn't tighten the laces too much, my foot stayed in place while walking around the house. I debated for quite some time because the leather was incredibly soft to the touch and the boot was very, very comfortable with good support. It's a great boot for someone...just not for me.

I really wanted to like these. I know others who recommended them for light hiking/traveling. Based on the reviews, I ordered a size up. They were still too narrow. Normally, I am okay with a "medium" width shoe, but with these I am not.

These are wonderful sandals- comfortable, durable and great looking. Just bought my second pair after wearing my old ones for four years. Their rather pricey, but very much worth the cost in my opinion.

DEFECTIVE--Please, read. Be forewarned. Do NOT buy these. These cannot be bought with confidence. First, I have ordered shoes with Zappos in the past 10 years and Ecco and Cole Haun shoes with out problem. Those orders were seamless and the products were authentic and as advertized. I will submit that I knew quality for this Ecco shoe might have been less due to its price and inflation, but there was another problem. To the eye, the item I received looked fine. It was a really good thing I kept the box. So, the next day, I thought I better put these on. That is when it all came together. There was a small mark on the bottom of the shoe that looked like maybe they had been a return/restocked (cannot say for sure), but I did not really care because I figured that was irrelevant because Ecco is a a solid brand right? These had a little quality control sticker in the inner part of the strap to prove it! I have two Ecco older sandals like these and both are size 45 EU (11.5M US) and fit perfectly and they can be adjusted. The pair I received with this order was "defective," but in a way you only find out when you put them on. :-( The straps will not make it to the Velcro, except over the cardboard packing material. I am a slim tall man at 6'+ and weigh maybe 170 lbs...on the skinny side. The straps came out of the factory too short. And, small things I would normally not care about seem to also be part of the quality control picture. e.g., there are small holes in the leather intended to be part of the styling. They are intentional and part of the design. However, they vary in size and at least one was incorrectly (or not fully) punched out. Attention to detail is normally an ECCO trademark quality that has customers like me loyal. Things definitely happen, but they should not have made it out of the factory to the market. My last remark is I cannot help but wonder if these are counterfeit or knock-offs. I do not think Zappos would do this sort of thing intentionally. I think they got bad merchandise. The materials also seem like second or third class quality. I would not chance buying this shoe again--ever. I have my eyes on a different Sandal (The Yucatan...I own an old pair..that appears identical) by Ecco (and it costs more) , but now I have a bad feeling. I really appreciate the Zappos return policy, which I have never needed to use until now. Thankfully they do have a solid Free return policy. That is not true of some other I did business with in the past... I expect Zappos to refund my money without a hitch because that is how I know them. I trust this store. If that does not happen, then if I am able to modify this review I will and I will share the details. But for now I am staying positive. It is very inconvenient in a busy life to return products. Hauling a return into UPS during a busy workday (get a receipt, do not use a drop box). Again, after being burned at other shops...it is my sincere hope that this is not a Zappos business model counting on people to just throw out bad merchandise (hand raised..I have done this on occasion) due to the hassle of return. Printing out the UPS label was not hard and I had the packing. Take a cautionary lesson from my poor experience and please do keep your packing materials until you are sure you got what you paid for... Good Luck. I plan to buy the other Sandals from Zappos. Hopefully that will work out. Also, it is not my foot. LOL. Don't let it be yours! ;-)
