They run small. I need to order a half-size up to fit comfortably.

Nice classic boot, good materials, was actually surprised with the comfort of the footbed, and sole. Way to narrow for, but not my overly wide foot.

Quality seems good. I called Zappos twice and both times the customer service was excellent. Thanks. I will continue to shop through this site.

Well constructed, great quality boot. There is some material at the inside top of each zipper that rubbed my leg very bad and was quite irritating to the skin. They are also very narrow.

I'm very pleased with these shoes. The fit is just right -- I feared it might be a bit tight because of the fleece lining, but that's not the case. They're very comfortable, with no rubbing or pressure on the back of the ankle/achilles. The fleece provides just enough warmth, and doesn't cause overheating or sweating. Highly recommended!

These shoes were a true fit to my size. The problem is that they require a serious amount of time for break in. The heel rubbed blisters on both heels. I don’t attribute that to being too small but possibly sizing up a half size might solve this. Two weeks of constant wear and they have broke in nicely! Love em now, just be prepared for a little pain for the first few weeks.

Ok, this pair is a replacement for the first pair that were a half size too big. I normally wear a size 10 and these are a 9.5 and fit well. Great casual style they seem soft so break in I don’t think will be a problem. I like the sole and heel materials. What I think I need to point out is the exceptional service from Zappos. I made two different purchases in one week. Unfortunately both pairs were too large this pair being a half size to large and the Crocs were a full size too large. In both cases Zappos gave me complete return satisfaction and quickly I might add within about a week. No hassle no making me do this or that to get a return label. The reason I’m stating this is I recently purchased a pair of hiking boots from a seller on the big auction site we all know of. They sent me a pair of shoes, one shoe was a size 10 and the right shoe was a size 8.5. It took me two weeks and multiple messages to convince them they were at fault. At one point the woman I was dealing with called me a liar and her exact words were ( its impossible that we made a mistake ). I had to contact PayPal and EBay to get a resolution. I’m a new satisfied customer of Zappos.

I purchased these boots and received them as promised even a day early but, they seem to run at least a 1/2 size larger than my usual size 10. I had to return them my heel kept coming out of the heel pocket as a walked around my kitchen. Nice boot, nice looking and it seems well made I'm thinking about ordering a size 9.5. I feel bad to have to send them back because it cost Zappos and in turn raises the prices for everyone. I guess that is the chance with online shoe ordering.

Third time’s a charm... sizing was off by a full size (easily) from size chart. First pair (9.5 US) was way too large. Returned for 1/2 size smaller, but still much too big. Returned second pair in exchange for size 8.5 which fit decently well (with larger socks). This was unexpected as most reviews noted that the shoe felt smaller than advertised. Given the (still) slightly bulkier fit, they look/fit better if I wear them as slip-ons (loose lacing) with either cuffed or skinny jeans. Worth the money (sole cushioning is ample and construction appears sound relative to what they cost). NOTE: shoe color is definitely black (as they appear on website) - 100% NOT “navy” In appearance. Support/leather could be more reinforced and tread is practically non-existent (not a good option for work boots). Solid choice for casual (faux-rugged) fashion.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for, and at a great price. The leather is quality, the look is rugged but refined. The fit was great and the boots felt broken in and comfortable in no time. The padding on the insoles is good, but won't last long under the weight of a heavy, 6'3" guy like me. It looks like I might be able to remove and replace it with my own insoles, but not sure. Also: the outer sole of this boot is replaceable, which is awesome!

Purchased for my husband. He was happy with them. Felt true to size, comfortable footbed. The only con was felt a little too stiff around the ankle, but he likes and feel that after wearing a few more times the leather will get softer. Style of shoe was what he was looking for.

Ordered a 10 as per Zappos recommendation and they were too. Went down to a 9.5 and still a bit on the big size but I figured they're a fall/winter shoe and I most likely will be wearing thicker socks. They look nice, the leather seems to be high quality, and they're wearing well so far.

Really nice boots! Unfortunately the zipper on the right boot ripped loose after 3 days of wearing them while on the road. I’ve had no time (due to work schedule) to go buy a replacement. So I’m limping a half-unzipped boot for the next 4 days. I called Customer service. They are willing to send a replacement but they no longer have my size in stock.

The boot looks (and smells) great, but there is something off about the fit. I have a hard time getting my foot in the boot and when I tie the laces, even lightly, there is a lot of pressure on the top of my foot from the tongue and top of the shoe - as if there is not enough vertical room for my foot. I've never had this problem with any other shoe or boot, so I don't think I have exceptionally tall feet - it just seems like a vertically narrow fit. I was disappointed to realize they weren't going to work for me, as I thought the boots looked great and were a very affordable price.

I agree with those reviews who found these a tighter fit than typical chukas. If you're a 9.5 US like me, you might consider getting a 10
